Pros:

Je n’y ai pas mis un pied.

Cons:

Réception ouverte 24/24 : faux ! Je suis arrivée à 4:15, après 15h de bus, voulant juste messages brosser les dents et me doucher avant mon excursion à 7:30. J’ai envoyé des messages et essayé d’appeler; pas de réponse. Trois personnes ont fini par m’ouvrir à 6:25. Ni bonjour ni rien, juste le prix de deux nuits (j’avais réservé pour une seule) montré sur une calculatrice. J’ai tenté de communiquer avec eux via une app de traduction, je n’ai eu aucune réaction ou réponse.

Pros:

Good hot water pressure in the shower.

Cons:

Rock hard beds, low maintenance in the room (mold stains on the walls and in the shower), stains on blankets, you can hear every noise that happens in the guesthouse in your room, the owners don't speak a word in English and can't communicate.

Pros:

The staff was really nice with us, even when they couldn't speak English, they arranged a way to communicate well. We arrive very early, around 5.30 am and they allowed us to do the check in with no problems. Also they helped us to rent a motorbike and they gave a call to a taxi for coming back to the provincial bus station.
This hostel is located near the market and main street, which is really convinient.

Cons:

The bed, as many others in Asia, is not soft.
But nothing else was bad.

Great hotel, good location to restaurants and amenities. Staff are lovely but limited English. Laundry service available. Bathroom is a bit small but it didn't bother us. Good price if you're visiting Cao Bang.
