Gezellige tuin en mooi zwembad
Pros:

Gezellige tuin met allerlei zitjes en mooi zwembad. Ruim opgezet. Lekker ontbijt en aardige gastheren.

Op de foto’s ziet het er wat mooier en verzorgder uit.

Great spot if you know you want a unique peaceful spot to stay.
Pros:

This was a relaxing place to spend a few days. It was quiet and serene which is not always easy to find if you stay in Essaouira near the Medina. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding. The room we had was spacious and had an upstairs and downstairs. We loved it.

Cons:

There are some spots that feel like they could be touched up. They sometimes had the gate closed to get in but it not clear how to get inside. There was a keypad that was taped over and the attendant said we should have beeped our horn which seemed like it would be disruptive to the peacefulness of the hotel. I think that the hotel was overpriced for what you get but if the property was full, perhaps it wouldn’t had been as peaceful.

Pros:

We wish we could have stayed here longer during our trip to Morocco. It is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and the dining room and patio are stunning. The people were also very friendly and caring. It is one of the older hotels in the region so it has some wear but that gives it a nice charm. Our kids didn't want to leave this hotel and the pool!

Wij waren super tevreden van ons verblijf in Hotel Tangaro in Essaouira. Het is echt een boutique hotel, kleinschalig en met heel veel charme. Een lokale taxichauffeur vertelde ons zelfs dat dit het oudste hotel van de streek is, wat het toch wel extra speciaal maakt.

Het hotel heeft heel veel leuke elementen, met die typische witte muren en blauwe accenten aan deuren en ramen – echt mooi gedaan. Wij hadden een kamer met een eigen veranda en terras, en dat was gewoon fenomenaal.

Het zwembad is ook zeer proper en goed onderhouden, en er liggen altijd handdoeken klaar, wat heel handig is. Doordat het hotel wat buiten het centrum ligt, is het er ook super rustig. Dat zorgde echt voor een heel ontspannend verblijf.

Wij hadden zelf geen eigen vervoer, maar dat was absoluut geen probleem. Het hotel regelde telkens een taxi voor ons naar de medina, en dat kostte ongeveer 5 euro per rit. Heel vlot en goed geregeld.

In het hele hotel hangt een heel relaxte sfeer, alles kan en niets moet. Het personeel is ook ontzettend vriendelijk – echt een dikke pluim voor hen.

Het ontbijt was trouwens ook zeer goed en uitgebreid.

Kortom: wij zouden hier zeker terugkomen!

Cons:

Das Dinner im Hotel war unterdurchschnittlich schlecht. Sehr teuer und nicht was beschrieben. Fish and Cips bestellt, dann Fisch mit Gemüse bekommen. Zusätzlich war das Essen trotz längerer Wartezeit kalt. Trotzdem wurde der volle Preis verlangt.

Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht ab.

Très agréable, on s’y sent bien.
Pros:

Le charme et l’ambiance d’un temps ancien du lieu et de ses multiples coins de pauses et la gentillesse et l’accueil irréprochable de Rachid.
Très bon goût de décoration, efficace et simple.

Cons:

Nous avons été Très déçu de ne pas avoir pu dîner dans la très jolie salle à manger qui n’attend que les clients !
Mais pas de cuisinière 😌

Tangaro is always my favourite place to stay when visiting Essaouira.
Pros:

I love the laidback boho charm with its simple yet comfortably furnished rooms. It has a peaceful ambiance with lots of places to sit and relax surrounded by birdsong. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and delicious, fresh breakfasts are served on the large patio. I was very happy to completely chill out on the blue and white striped sun loungers by the pool reading my book. It’s only a 10 minute drive to get into the centre of Essaouira and to enjoy exploring the medina, harbour and beach. But it was always a pleasure to return to the sanctuary of Tangaro.

Cons:

Nothing not to like!
