Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight stay just a short bus/taxi ride from Limerick city centre

Owner was very rude, kicked us out for no reason with no refund and left us stranded at night. Very disrespectful and very hostile.

Overall, a fine place to stay, but this early morning disruption did take from the experience. A little more trust in gu
Pros:

We stayed in this property for one night while attending the Cork Limerick match. The house was clean, the rooms were comfortable, and towels were provided — all as expected. The listing clearly stated the host lived on-site, and quiet hours were advised from 10pm to 8am, which we fully respected.

Cons:

We returned quietly around 2.30am and made every effort not to disturb anyone — no talking, just straight to bed.

However, despite the check-out time being clearly listed as 11am, the host began making significant noise around 9.15am — including loud door banging, going up and down the stairs repeatedly and even vacuuming briefing on our floor while we were still resting. At 10.30am, they knocked on each of our doors to remind us we had 30 minutes left, which felt unnecessary and intrusive given we were well within the agreed timeframe and were not running late.

Spartan, but clean and comfortable
Pros:

The house was clean and comfortable. The guest bedrooms were upstairs. The owner lived downstairs. The bathroom was shared with other guests, but since I seemed to be the only one there was no problem.

Cons:

The room was a little spartan (a single bed, a wardrobe, and a nightstand), almost like a hostel, which it wasn't. Although it may be a little cramped for some I had no problem. Since I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights I was alright.

Pros:

Host was very friendly. The location was very good.

Cons:

I think the place wasn't quite clean. The owner dog was barking a lot during the night. I asked owner if I can use microwave as there was no microwave or toaster available as I was on special diet so had to have my own food, but the owner refused, which wasn't nice. The place wasn't clean, lot of dogs hair on the carpet and luckily I had my own towels as the one I had prepared were smells...

Wonderful host, super clean, great location for the price
Pros:

Location has great transport links and the bus takes just 20 minutes to get to the city center. Just a 2 minute walk from the house there is a restaraunt, pub, chipper, chemist and corner shop. Host was very friendly and informative. The bedroom and shared facilities were spotless and had everything I needed.

Cons:

The bed was mostly comfortable but quite squeaky when moving around. There was also some barking on the first night that I couldn't tell if it was coming from inside the house or a neighbour, but it quieted down quickly enough.
