When choosing a nonrefundable rate the total amount of the stay will be charged upon booking. Should you wish the invoice to be issued with different information (such as company name), please contact the hotel or insert your request in the Special Requests box. After payment is received, the invoice cannot be modified.
Please note for nonrefundable rates the pre-payment invoice will be issued under the name on the reservation, in case you need the invoice with a VAT number or with different details please insert that information on the reservation. After the invoice is issued no changes will be made.
We would like to inform you that between the 3rd of March until the 15th of May 2026, we will be carrying out a full redecoration of our Spa located at floor -2. During this period, all spa services will be allocated in a different area of the hotel, thus ensuring full continuity of facilities and services to our guests, namely: heated swimming jacuzzi, sauna, massages and beauty treatments.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

The Vine is in a perfect location for seeing Funchal and with free car parking in an underground car park, made hiring a car at the airport easy - 25 min drive to the hotel. From there, access to the whole island was straightforward.
On the first night we discovered a problem with the bath plumbing which was repaired and sorted within 15 minutes of us contacting reception - impressive.
All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Very nice and modern rooms. Loved the view from the rooftop pool. The fitness center was excellent. The breakfast was incredible and there was a fun robot cat who carried dishes. The parking was very convenient too.

The location was fabulous and the hotel is beautiful. Prepared an early breakfast since we had a flight before breakfast started.

Mooi kamer met ruim bed. Kamer is stil. Ruime badkamer. Op het dakterras is er een zwembad met uitzicht over Funchal. Ontbijtbuffet was goed met zeer ruime keuze. Parkeren was gratis in de parkeergarage onder het hotel. Het hotel ligt aan de rand van het oude centrum van Funchal. Zeer goed gegeten bij restaurants van Chef Lulio Pereira: Akua, Kampo en Theo's. Allen zijn een aanrader.

There is very little privacy for the restrooms and no changing rooms at the pool.
The location is excellent, situated in a very good area for exploring Funchal on foot and walking around the city. At the same time, it is tucked away from the noise of the city center itself. The staff was very professional. The rooms are clean, and it's clear that everyone is working hard.
Breakfast is quite good with a solid selection. The value for money is great. I especially liked that the hotel has its own garage and that parking is free of charge.
My main complaint concerns the design of the rooms and bathrooms, which feel "over-designed." Although the bathroom is spacious, it isn't functional. There isn't enough space to hang towels to dry after use. The same applies to the sink area and the storage for toiletries. A space that large should be much more practical.
The sauna is extremely small; it should be made clear that it’s a sauna "in name only" rather than a proper sauna or wellness facility.
