When we arrived to our stay at E Village Hanoi, we had an unpleasant welcome from the staff immediately, which didn’t give us high hopes. We were brought to our rooms and got a hit with an overwhelming smell of damp from the room as well as realising the accommodation failed to picture the massive black patch of damp/mould on the ceiling. We proceeded to the bathroom where the smell of damp/sewage was even worse, we felt ill. Not only that, but the staircase itself was rotting which is a further health hazard. To make matters even worse, we went to turn the tv on in which the remote did not work so my partner went to reception to ask about it in which they laughed in his face and said ‘tv is broken’ ? The staff’s attitudes were appalling and when mentioned to the manager we got told that they were new and ‘still in training’. We originally booked for two nights but only stayed the one as we felt extremely unsafe. Luckily the manager arranged for us to receive a full refund which we did and booked somewhere else. Only decent thing about this accommodation is the location but not worth the health and safety risk.

Great room & very comfy bed - location was excellent
When we arrived we were put in a room we hadn’t booked. It was much smaller and the bathroom wasn’t private and door didn’t shut. We told staff this was not what we booked only to be laughed at and told we can change room the following day. No apology was given or compensation. Once we got in the room we had finally booked it was lovely, however the staff were so rude it’s hard to look past. There was also a dead lizard on the door frame that looked like it had been there a while.

la ubicación en pleno centro, esta mas o menos cerca de todo lo destacable de Hanoi. Es un hotel que tiene muy buen precio por lo que si estas por la ciudad, haciendo tours y solo vas para dormir sirve perfectamente
la ubicación también, esta encima de un bar de copas y aunque te ponen en el piso de arriba del todo si no llevas tapones mal asunto, ya que esta en una calle llena de restaurante y bares, y con las motos ademas, o sea que el ruido es importante. no tiene ascensor, asi que prepárate para subir escaleras
Lovely stay, very conveniently located and very helpful staff. Stayed in a nice study room which was very clean. Checked in super late (3am) and they were still so helpful. Thank you to Phuong and Công for being great!!

Habitaciones con humedades y mal olor. Edificio sin ascensor con escaleras estrechas que hay que subir andando. Te ofrecen café y te en la habitación, pero no te dan agua gratis.
Ducha sin agua caliente y el aire acondicionado solo sale aire frío, no caliente.
En general, habitación en malas condiciones.
Por la mañana, sobre las 7:45h am no había nadie en la recepción y el hall estaba cerrado, sin personal, sin poder hablar con nadie ni hacer check out.

The bathroom smells. Sewage system may be old. It’s noisy at night and in the morning because of the busy location.
