The Best thing about it were the staff, well 2 of them, the hotel manager Hasan, and one other, the day staff. The Daytime older guy couldn't even manage a smile..for us, he sat out in the day at the front of hotel. The hotel was quite far out from the attractions and Beach. We were walkers so it didn't matter too much.it was situated on the far point of the top road leaving kleopatra beach area. I'd say 2-3 miles to the beach. There was a shop/market open everyday on the next door block, also a small local Kebab and Turkish Pide eating place literally right next to the hotel. Seemed to be locals only. Not much else than that apart from walking up the long road to sewing shop/tailors and more local delicatessen shops selling unusual localities. Couple of more shops including green grocers. Then all streets lead down to the bigger shopping street/road where lots more usual shopping emporiums and restaurants bars etc. Across from the hotel was a huge Government building and OTTOGAR bus station. Wasn't a great view. The sun hit the balconies all day till 5pm. Sunsets are not visible due to another huge Nunk of a building across the front of the hotel. Despite this we did manage to sit on the balcony at cooler times to witness the hurly burly of the street in front. The hotel itself was very traditional. The lift did not go to the ground floor, a set of 5 stairs had to be used to reach ground level. The room itself was Bijou but had 1 bedroom and 3 sets of Beds and a sofa double bed. The fridge tadahhhh! had it's own electricity supply by a grey button pad at its side. So leaving your room did not switch off the fridge !!!!! Yehhhh!! Each morning a breakfast buffet was served in the foyer at an additional cost. We did not attend so cannot comment on its content. The foyer looked very clean. Lots of tables and chair sets at the front of hotel all shaded over. And a lovely long thin pool bright blue water with a small but ample kiddies...
Very nice, helpful and generous staff and manager, excellent breakfast. You can reach the beach by walking. The hotel was better than I expected. Thank you.
Our room was clean, but in a few corners it was not 100 percent clean. Sometimes I found the nearby busy street disturbing, but I still slept well. The air conditioning stopped working after a few days, but I am sure the manager would have fixed the problem if we had mentioned it.
The location was good, about 10 min walk from the beach. The AC works well. The room looked clean.
I asked for a nonsmoking room. The room I got smelt like cigarettes, and the odor wouldn’t go away.
The trash wasn’t taken out. Also, there was a damp cleaning cloth left on the mirror shelf right on top of my hygiene items.
In addition, the curtains were missing hooks and the tea cups need more cleaning.
I hope it’ll get fixed :)
