Great hotel to explore Manhattan from.
Pros:

Location was great, staff super friendly. Room was clean & bed comfortable. Close to a number of subway lines. Great coffee around the corner at Eataly

Cons:

Pillows a little soft- but overall not a deal breaker.

Perfect budget location for exploring manhattan
Pros:

Perfect location for exploring manhattan and beyond. They offered triple room which was why I booked as this is rare and we are a family of 3

Cons:

Bathroom was incredibly small but ultimately it was a very reasonable price for manhattan so you have to manage expectations

Pros:

This is a two star hotel as listed, but it delivers value on all fronts.Staff are friendly and obliging. You have to ask for room to be serviced one day ahead, but this was always happily accommodated. Great location for Madison Square Park & MSG, plenty of nearby food options of various levels, close subway proximity.
Whilst little character remains in the rooms, other than the ornate cornices, the room appointments are basic but well maintained. Beds are comfy and room servicing was well done.
Stayed in two different rooms, beginning and end of trip, and found the standard consistent.

Cons:

Lift is slow, but it's an old character building!!
