Nice view over the Mekong River. And friendly staff.
Difficult to get to (either with boat or scooter). The huts were located in an old amusement park. The included breakfast was very simple, chose between bread and eggs or rice and beef. Be aware that the huts are not soundproof, so that you can hear the boats really easily.
Great location on the Mekong delta
The room was nice, tidy and very lovely - the problem with this hotel is that it is a part of a local ”activity park” and not really designed for international guests.
This hotel is designed to host big local groups and events. It is located on an island and after you get there you are stuck there. They couldn’t rent a motorbike and the boat rides to shore/city was super expensive because they were ment for a group of 30 people, not 2 hotel guests. The only Mekong experience they could offer was a one hour expensive boat ride around the island. No one at the restaurant spoke english and the staff couldn’t even tell us what we were eating. Everytime some staff members passed us they looked at us like what are you doing here. The restaurant closed already at 6:30pm and so did the activity park. We were stuck with nothing else to do than empty the minibar and stroll around the closed park at night. Though it was kind of cool to check out the sleeping alligators by night, that local tourist groups get to feed during their visit, the overall feeling at this place was that we were not wanted or supposed to be there. Hotel staff didn’t really speak english either, but they managed to help us leave the island after check-out. Breakfast was not pastries and coffee - it was noodles and coffee.
