We had to walk up and down the stairs each day, passing by the washroom, which left an unpleasant smell.

Staff was rude. Location is very poor as you have to go down one station every day to ski and then buy a return ticket daily to come up. It’s way overpriced for what it offers.

Some extra maintenance may be needed here & there. Value for money could be better but just be prepared to pay top premium prices.

The only way to reach the hotel is by 2 rides of the cable car..
Nothing you can do it up there after 5 pm, the last cable car ride from down to this point is at 4:30 pm

The breakfast choices are super limited, they only offer those that are the cheapest. Staff did not tell you that extra sausages have to be paid but instead serve you the bill at the end. There is even a time when they forgot to serve the bill, later when we are walking out with our skiing clothes and equipment in the middle of the stairs, they want the payment to be done there and then although we still have one more night with them. There was plenty of time for them to come to our room saying that we have to settle the breakfast bill instead of catching us in the middle.

Totally not worth it to stay in this place. Limited and small breakfast, charges extra sausages or drinks without telling that it is not part of the complimentary breakfast. Unfriendly staff who refuse to answer simple question regarding skiing passes or best way to go about it.

We are even paying for a room that could accommodate for 3 person but instead only 2 of us are staying yet they want to charge extra without telling upfront for their small and limited portion of breakfast.

So ultimately don't spend your money here. Go to tenir eco or snag, it worth better for your money.

Really poor communication. The hotel is only accessible by cable car, which stops running at 5pm. The hotel does not tell you this. To go up the mountain you have to go back down to buy a ticket, the hotel does not tell you this either. The place is full to overflowing with day trippers. Its actually a well run mountain bar, the hotel part is ignored. Airport pick ip worst ever-taxi 30min late and out of charge. It took 3hr to move 28km from airport to hotel

Where to start..?

- maybe it’s known to locals, but it’s definitely not known to tourists - to reach this hotel, you need to take 2 gondola lifts (which take you around 40mins to the top) and you should take it latest around 4pm. At the time Im writing this, it is still not mentioned anywhere on the property’s page. And we only found out when we whatsapped the property, asking if there is a parking near by. So, you spend another sum for gondola, plus parking. Not to mention you need to sync with the gondola times - we booked it a night before check in, and had plans for the day - plans that had to be changed because suddenly we had to be in Medeu by 4.

- We booked 2 simple rooms for 4 people. When we arrived two of us were shown one room and two the other two the other room. We liked it a lot and were impressed by the design and space. We started unpacking and so on. Some time later, the manager came and told us that unfortunately they brought us to a wrong room. That the room they brought us in to is delux and cost 20.000 tenge/night more. That was a bit of a bummer, because we already made ourselves comfortable. We were staying for 2 nights and liked the room a lot, and were partly unpacked. So we agreed to the upgrade and pay extra 40.000 tenge for 2 nights. However when we were paying at the end, they charged us 46.000 tenge. Saying that it’s a fee for booking.com because our initial booking was not with free cancellation. I presume they wanted to cancel our reservation on booking.com so it looks like we canceled it and they wouldnt have to pay a fee to booking. Anyways, my booking was non refundable. So at the end they modified my reservation there, to the delux room and we ended up paying more.
After submitting this review, I plan to complain to booking. It is not ok.

- breakfast starts at 9am (a bit late if you want to start your day early). However, we only got our breakfast at 9:40, despite sitting in the restaurant already from 8:45.
