W&H is one of the worst properties I have ever stayed at and I would strongly advise everyone to stay away.
The toilet had a constant, nauseating smell that made the room uncomfortable to even use. The person in charge was completely clueless and unhelpful — he couldn’t assist with even basic necessities like drinking water and didn’t seem to know where to get it from.
The rooms are grossly overpriced for what they offer. There is no proper parking, no service worth mentioning, and absolutely no justification for the rates they charge. For the same price (or less), you can get far better, bigger, and cleaner rooms in Fort Kochi, Mattancherry, or Jew Town.
I had booked this place for 4 days, but the experience was so bad that I was forced to check out after just 2 days. Despite this, the property refused to refund the unused days — which speaks volumes about their ethics and customer care.
I am genuinely shocked to see such high ratings for this place. The only possible reason is its proximity to Jew Street, because there is absolutely no value for money here. Location alone cannot compensate for poor hygiene, bad service, and zero professionalism.
Avoid this property unless you want to waste your money and ruin your stay.

A deeply unsafe, poorly maintained property that left me no choice but to check out early. Complete waste of money!

I wouldn’t recommend this property to any solo traveling woman.

Cons:

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this property and ended up checking out after just one night, despite having a two-night reservation. The overall experience was far below acceptable standards.

The room itself felt more like an extension of a bathroom—poorly designed, with an unpleasant smell coming from the washroom. The corridors had no lighting unless specifically requested, which created an unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere. The neighborhood was also extremely noisy, with loud banging starting as early as 7:30am. To make matters worse, there were children running and shouting in the corridors late at night, with no staff intervention.

Security on the property is essentially non-existent. As a solo woman traveler, I felt very unsafe. The “smart door” system was not explained to me at check-in, and when I stepped out of the room, I was unable to get back in, leaving me stranded outside until someone eventually assisted me.

I raised all these concerns during my early checkout, but the staff at reception showed no interest, offered no assistance, and did not even inquire about what went wrong. I was not offered a refund for the unused night either.

Overall, this was a distressing and harrowing experience, and I would not recommend this property to anyone—especially solo female travelers.
