The staff were absolutely amazing. Musto and his family were friendly, helpful and available. They arranged a transfer from the airport - which was good as the old town is a "rabbit warren" and many Uber drivers won't go in there (there is a good pickup point within 2 mins walk). The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were lucky to have sun all week and Musto had given us a room which had sun on the balcony all day (great for March, maybe not for July!). The pool was very warm and the courtyard had lots of places to sit. Free tea/coffee and an outside kitchen were also great. The location was perfect for restaurants, bars and the lovely ambience of the old town.
There is a market next to the Yivli mosque that has very good pricing. The bazaar just outside the old town is obviously more expensive.
Nothing really, but a couple of points for those who might want something different from their holiday. The old town is noisy at night. You won't get away from the call to prayer, occasional dog bark, late night revellers going home etc. If that's not your thing then this location may not be for you.
Nothing to do with the apartment but make sure you always ask a taxi to turn on their meter!
We found all of the local people super-friendly and helpful - even if you were being beckoned to a restaurant/ice cream vendor etc. once you say no thanks you often get helpful advice on where to visit.
I booked the hotel at the last minute, and I was very happy with my selection. I received complimentary parking right outside. The staff offered me welcoming services including a large secondary room that had high internet speed.
Overall, I had a great experience - the staff was accommodating, and the amenities were great. I booked a spacious suite, which was beautiful, clean, and perfect to celebrate my birthday.

The owner and staff are very friendly and the place has a homely feel. The garden area is lovely with lots of plants and fruit trees. The location is ideal for exploring the old town and visiting lots of cafes and restaurants.

Hotel was very cluttered and not very clean. Had a hostel feel. To get to our room you had to walk up a very narrow set of stairs with no head clearance. It felt like we were on a boat. The owner treats the hotel as a cat hospital and has 10-15 cats here. So the place reeks of cat urine. If you have allergies like me, you might want to go elsewhere. We had to leave after the first night. Our next hotel was clean and cheaper. Don't believe the reviews. Even if you don't mind the cats, this place is a 6/10 at best
