The room was spacious and just like in the photos. Nice design and muck space for an active kid. The team was very useful and helping.

Enjoyed the stay here. The location, cleanliness, the staff and the service were top notch. Migara, who’s Managing the property was exceptional and very courteous. This hotel is highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed getaway.

Spacious comfortable clean room with a balcony. Bathroom with a nice hot shower. Sea view from the balcony, even though it's not beachfront. Good breakfast. Lift to access the upper floor.

Beautiful property, large spacious suite, very friendly helpful staff and good breakfasts. Pool was also great. Will definitely be back 1 day.

I travelled to Galle as the first proper stop on my 3 week solo trip of Sri Lanka in Jan-Feb 2026 and had opted to stay at Moda as it seemed to tick most boxes for what I was looking for to help settle into the Sri Lankan vibe. Luck prevailed and I got just what I needed and a little more.
The hotel is about 1km from the Galle Fort centre, easy to get to in a tuk-tuk and a great place for day trips to Unawatuna, Ahangama or Galle Fort. There is a lovely sandy beach at the end of the road for an early morning dip before breakfast. The hotel is off the beaten track, so make sure you have the address on hand before arriving. There's a limited number of rooms so it's not hectic, it feels more like a townhouse than a hotel, but has plenty of space, comfy beds, good A/C in the bedrooms, good shower with hot water and a great breakfast. But most of all, the staff were warm and friendly and the general manager Miga couldn't have been more helpful in suggestions of where to go and how to travel. He actually helped me to fine-tune the rest of my trip and kept in touch throughout. Very grateful to have stayed here at the start of my trip. Highly recommend.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.. Great service. Great location. Breakfast was great. The room was great but I wouldn't want to spend multiple days duevto zero opening windows so you have to rely 100% on very cold air conditioning. The bed was comfortable. We're in our 60's but it's probably more suitable for younger people. Despite being only doors from a major road it's very quiet.

Location is just 5 mins ride away from galle fort, has a mart nearby. Pickme is mostly available. The manager was really humble, helpful and gave us some good suggestions of restaurants and itinerary. The staff was also nice. The rooms and common spaces were very clean and nice. The owner and staff remain available till 10 pm, still they went out of their way to arrange bread for our toddler at around midnight.
Also, from the terrace you get a lovely view of the sea.

The staff was just wonderful. Miga helped us with transportation for whale watching and to the airport. He even helped us get medical attention when my husband was sick. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was tasty and hearty. This was a great value for the price.

Friendly, helpful staff. Large, light, comfortable room. Great location across from the beach with a few shops and local restaurants around and only 10 minutes in a tuk tuk to Galle Fort.

Location was quite convenient very near to galle forte, manager was very helpful and even the guys who are working there are very friendly
