Séjour parfait.
Pros:

Etablissement plein de charme occupant le complet étage d'un immeuble bien placé. Très calme. Ambiance et mobilier XIXe, tels une belle auberge balzacienne. La propriétaire au petit soin. Petit déjeuner excellent et très classe. A recommander. Olivier

Pros:

En plein centre de digne parfait . Notre hôte était très professionnel est très sympa , à l écoute et très agréable. La chambre était très bien , spacieuse et très propre .

A jewel of a receptionist made this stay quite memorable
Pros:

When I go to Europe I travel everywhere by train. Except Digne (Digne-les-Bains to give it its full name). That's because the train no longer goes to Digne. To get there you take a TGV to Aix-en-Provence and catch a coach (what in America we'd call a bus) the rest of the way. And then you walk. Although if it's nice, the walk is quite pleasant.

If you can find the hotel (more on that below) you meet the receptionist who I can't say enough good things about, although I don't think I ever learned her name. She was instrumental in reuniting me with the luggage that I accidentally left on the coach when I got off. Since that piece of luggage held all my medications, my computer and my passport, I would have been totally screwed had I lost it. But as it was, while I spent a very anxious 24 hours wondering whether my absentmindedness had finally done me in, this woman went way out of her way to get me and my luggage back together again. I wonder if her boss knows what a wonderful person she is?

Cons:

The hotel is so unobtrusive that I feel lucky to have found it. I don't think I ever found a sign that indicated where it was located, and the hotel itself doesn't have its name on any sign or on its wall. The only thing I could find was a notice on the door with the name of the hotel on it. Talk about hiding your light under a bushel!

Attention de la propriétaire aux détails (fermer les volets, les ouvrir en soirée, apporter un ventilateur, etc...)
Recommandations de la propriétaire pour les restaurant du soir
Charme de l'hôtel
Tranquillité de l'hôtel
Qualité du petit déjeuner (même si cher)
La situation près du départ de l'étape Digne à La Clappe de la Grande Traversée des Préalpes (nous étions des randonneurs itinérants)

Very comfortable room. Great sleep
Pros:

The madam who ran the property was very good! Lovely big room, well decorated. Big separate bathroom with a beautiful tub! Very close walk to restaurants for dinner.
