Excellent and friendly attentive service during breakfast.
Unfortunately the Traffic noise from the adjacent road and being unable to close the window to sleep properly spoiled the visit to the point that we returned home a day early.
Noisy road and very slippery shower tray
Good value for money. Great location. Outstanding breakfasts
The rooms were clean but a little frayed around the edges
My second time of staying here and another visit coming up in November. I chose it because it's walking distance from the rail station, for an oldie like me, and a few minutes walk to the Theatre. It's accessibility is good, and it's quiet.
For one night, nothing. I go prepared with food for teatime
The location near the town was great and the attached cafe was very tasty and helpful.
The nostalgic old Suffolk architecture was pleasant for a local.
The furniture in the bedroom was well laid out, the bed-head and chaise longue quite special.
The double glazing kept out most of the street noise when properly closed.
The large fridge was a bonus for snacks.
The lower part of the wardrobe had a strong smell and would be better checked and lined.
The troll (pump) behind the lavatory can surprise you at night! However, the pumps made the en-suite bathrooms possible without spoiling the Elizabethan interior, which is amazing for a small ex-pub.
Very quiet location. Comfortable bed. Good shower.
Noise from toilet maceraters. No wi-fi.
The landlady is very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and clean. It’s a lovely place to stay and I’m sure we will come back again.
Nothing
Good location. Well presented.
Room was right on the road. Old style thin glass windows provided no barrier to the noise of vehicles driving by. Hardly any sleep.
Cafe was nice, breakfast was very good.
Our room was dark and dismal, we were not aware of the lovely garden until the morning we were leaving.
Good location
Common stairwells quite shabby & cluttered with 'stuff'. Sadly the mattress in our room was incredibly uncomfortable, just like sleeping on springs, we hardly slept. It's a shame as you can see effort has been made with soft furnishing etc its just falls short
Really easy to find with parking right outside: room was bigger than I thought-very clean and lovely bathroom/ tea and coffee facilities. Lovely cafe downstairs- useful info. Provided e.g. local restaurants. Central but still quiet. Room perfect temperature- bed very comfy! Thank you for great stay.
I think for the price I paid, it was excellent value for money and can't think of any improvements.
Easy self check-in. Convenient location. Clean rooms. Comfy bed.
Nothing.
