Sunset restaurant - incredible place with one of the best view we saw around Thailand, but overpriced

The wimming pool isn't working to start with.

I cant fault the room, we were in the panoramic sea view rooms overlooking the main bay and the view was absolutely spectacular.
But if we hadn't had this room It would have been a disaster. I think there are only eight of them.
if you dont get one of those rooms you are overlooking a massive virtually empty reservoir which overpowers the whole site.
There is no wardrobe or drawers in the room, just some open shelves with a small rail hanging from one of them, with two hangers.

One very annoying thing is, there are no bedside lights, if you have to do anything like turn the aircon up or down you have to use your phone light to see what you are doing or get out of bed to turn on the ceiling lights.
The safe had no batteries so wasn't working, I tried to phone reception but the phone didnt work so i walked down the hill to the reception, I was told that they were waiting for batteries to be delivered to the island.
I went down to the town and bought four from a small shop, so that wasn't true.
In our room, there were two grey towels, we asked if they were beach towels, they said yes, we asked where the bath towels were, they said that they would bring them later, they did, but they don't supply hand towels, and the beach towels disappeared we had no beach towels all week.
There were only 3 very soft pillows between the two of us which were lumpy.
Shuttle buses are ok, one takes .the route to the beach area the other to the town.
The problem is that on occasion they leave early and not the prescribed time, so you get there 7 minutes before they are supposed to pick you up and they've already gone which means an hour's wait, or you walk, trust me, its a killer in the heat and a long way uphill.
They should stick to the timetable.

1- Up the mountain can only be reached by hotel car. Hotel provides hourly shuttle cars to town but only until 9pm. After 9pm you have to pay 300 THB per room per way and 500 after 2am. I think this is a money grabbing technique because drivers are available 24h and since the hotel can only be reached by car it is only fair the shuttle service should be free of charge at least until midnight as most tourist are still out after 9pm for dinner and fire shows. If you add up the extra costs for the shuttle service to and back from town after 9pm, you might as well put it towards one of the more expensive hotels in town.
2- shower drain was blocked, I reported it on the first day and supposedly someone came whilst we were out to unblock it but it was still blocked so I just didn’t bother to report it again.

There was a lot of defects in the room.
The shower drain was blocked, the toilet could not be flushed as the handle was broken, the sink in the bathroom was wobbly. The bathroom itself looked like it has not been finished as there was kit stain all over the bathroom.
One of the chair from the balcony broke the minute I sat down.
There was no face towels in the room, and when we asked for it, one of it had a big hole in it.
They did not cleaned the room during our stay , even if we put the sign up for it, and all the supplies we asked to be provided were placed in a plastic bag and left hang on the door handle.
The phone in the room did nit work either, if you need anything, you got no choice, but to go to the reception.
Another thing I did not like, is that the hotel is charging 40baths for 500ml bottle of water (comparing to shops, where you pay 14 baths for 2 liters of the same water) when they know you got no choice but to get the water from them as there are no shops around the hotel, and the town is like 50minutes to 1 hour walk. In the 32 degrees Celsius, I guess the hotel should consider the guests more.

- It’s really far from all activities and town. Even if you have shuttle bus every 1 hour, you have to pay 300 baths after 9pm

- the breakfast. After 9am, no food, just 1 egg was here. Poor value for money…

L'hôtel est situé en montagne et peu pratique pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. IL faut utiliser des navettes à heures fixes pour aller à la ville ou à la plage. Il est difficile de dîner à la ville et de revenir à l'hôtel à temps pour la dernière navette. La piscine est de taille réduite et à proximité de la plage et non de l'hôtel. Il y en a une à l'hôtel mais destinée principalement aux jeunes.

Publicité mensongère. Pas de piscine . Hôtel qui semble a l'abandon ou non terminé. Façade d'hôtel complètement délabrés à certains endroits. Cafard dans les chambres . Devoir payer 300 baht après 21h . Pour une chambre dites "deluxe" on a droit à une magnifique vue sur un bassin de collecte des eaux usées .. bref on est loin.. très loin du 4 étoiles ...

Merkeze, havuza, sahile servisle gitmek durumunda olmak elverişsiz olabilir. Ama düzenli aralıklarla ücretsiz servis aracı imkanı var.

The location is far, the property is on a hill, so walking to the resort is tough. They provide free shuttle but last only uptill 9 pm. After 9 it is very expensive with around 500bht per person.
Partying late is a problem due to this.
