The food at the hotel's restaurant was very good with quite a varied menu. The restaurant staff and one general member of staff, Dev, were very helpful but the reception staff were somewhat underwhelming.
The rooms were somewhat tired in terms of decoration and not particularly clean. The room allocated to my friend had a bed that did not appear to have been made and I had to insist on him being given another room.
I would not have stayed at this hotel if there had been anything else available but there wasn’t. All the better hotels were full due to the cricket. There is nothing i would say i liked about the property other than leaving at the end of my stay.
Where do i begin? When i arrived the room had not been cleaned from the previous occupant. The bin was full, there was rubbish in the bathroom and on the table. The bed linen had stains all over it, the towel was filthy and still wet! The curtains, well, i would just throw them away. I told the reception to replace the filthy line and towel and they did this the following day. It was so late when i arrived and i was so tired i actually slept in the bed!
I had breakfast as part of my deal but the eating area just wasn’t suitable.
The hotel is just not suitable for western customers.
Good location, helped with early checking
Everything else
Being a 4 star hotel their room dining service closes at 10:30 PM. It was not notified earlier and I had to order dinner from outside. It should at least have room dining facilities till midnight.
