Everything about this little hotel is perfect - the gym, pool, chill out areas, rooms, shared kitchen and staff were all spot on. The location is great if you enjoy walking for food. Breakfast at the bakery was great; 3 different choices each day of our 3 night stay.
The coffee machine in the reception area whilst cheap coffee was the worst tasting coffee of my entire life. I drink at least 4 cups a day ... not sure what came out that machine but it needs to consigned to the drains 🤣
Strategic location

The place has a charm to it.
The building is nice, with its own personality. The hotel has a brand which they stick to consistently through how the rooms are designed, to how the staff behave as well.
Safe area, the other guests in the hotel are also kind, and in general a nice stay.
The only issue we had was that they fixed the A/C temperature to 25 degrees. During the day, the A/C barely makes a dent in cooling down the Penang heat, and there are no other ventilation systems (the windows are locked, and there is no fan) to cool down in any other way.
The only solution was to leave the A/C on when we left so that by the time we came back to our room, the place would be chilly.

The twin bed is not as wide as the normal twin bed.
