Great Location and Comfortable Stay
Pros:

We stayed at Maya Villa Condo Hotel for 9 days together with a few other families, and overall we had a very good experience.

The rooms were excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially appreciated having a private hot tub in the room, which was a nice addition.

The location is a major advantage. The hotel is in a great area of Playa del Carmen, very close to Quinta Avenida and within short walking distance to the beach. For those for whom it’s relevant, it’s also about a 13-minute walk to Chabad Playa del Carmen.

Aside from the issues mentioned below, everything else about our stay was very good, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Cons:

The private hot tub in the room was a nice feature, but unfortunately the water did not appear clean, which made it less enjoyable to use.

The swimming pool in our specific building was quite small—noticeably smaller than it appears in the photos online. Additionally, although some previous reviews mentioned that guests could use pools in other buildings within the same complex, we were not allowed to do so, which was disappointing.

Another issue was the interaction with staff around the pool. On several evenings, a staff member came to the building and spoke to the kids in a very unpleasant and threatening manner, warning them about playing in the pool (for example, splashing water that went slightly outside the pool or hot tub). This felt unnecessary and negatively impacted the atmosphere, especially since we only used the pool for about two afternoons during our 9-day stay.

Overall, this is a great place to stay with an excellent location and comfortable accommodations. However, the small pool, restrictions on using other facilities, and the way staff handled situations with children were drawbacks that could be improved.

Das Zimmer hatte nahezu einen Hotelstandard.
Die ein oder andere Person vom Personal.

Cons:

Wie auch in Cancun. Die Rezeption wirkte wenig fähig, weder interessiert. Kundenorientierung Fehlanzeige. M.E. ein Pseudo-Hostell, was auch entsprechende Gäste anlockt. Schall durchs Gebäude. Yoga Lehrerin wirkte gestresst. Vor dem Hotel (wie fast überall) Taxifahrer, welche dich für absurd hohe Beträge bereit sind durch die Gegend zu fahren. Ein ernster Blick/strenges Wort und es gibt schon 50% (!) Nachlass. Das Hostel duldet dies wohl. Der Gast als Ware.

Great place for a family in a quiet street in Playa del Carmen
Pros:

The apartment, which was more like a small house as over 2 floors with a roof terrace above these, was in an excellent location. Really close to the town, 5th Avenue which is the lively area, but without the noise from there and close to the beach. The Asi Restaurant, which is the place's favoured restaurant, is in a lovely spot by the sea from where the fishermen go, and you can book a trip to go fishing with them if thats your thing. years away. Parking is easy as in the basement and free and if the car park is full, you can park on the street so that fine. We have access to access to a huge gym, The Gym which is 100 yards away and we used twice. Great apartment,great facilities, very big, and in a great location.

Cons:

Nothing! All good.

Over all price & location was great.

Lack of Front Desk following through with requests during our stay.

Washer leaked water everywhere when washing clothes as this was brought up to front desk immediately when happened. Maintenance Guy was sent to fix & clean up water. He stated it was fixed as it was ok to wash clothes. Tried washing clothes as washer continued to leak from bottom everywhere again...called front desk about same issue within 2 hours apart. They only brought us a handful of big beach towels to clean up water ourselves a 2nd time as we asked for Maintenance Guy to come back to our room. Waited a good 45 mins as no Maintenance guy came by yet. Called front desk as they stated Maintenance went home at 10pm. Unexcectable & inexcusable service by property personnel. The property needs renovations to tidy up old appliances/furniture for sure!

Séjour à Playa del Carmen
Pros:

Accueil rapide et efficace. Nous avons bénéficié d'un appartement spacieux avec rooftop. Le logement étair propre. Bon emplacement à proximité du centre et à quelques minutes à pied du ferry.

Cons:

Certains équipements comme le jacuzzi du rooftop mériteraient un rafraichissement.

A great place to chill
Pros:

The condo was beautiful, set among lush gardens with a waterfall pool, lots of colourful art work, nicely furnished, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed. It was nice to have a 2 bedroom condo, lots of room to spread out. Only one block off 5th Avenue with a lot of good restaurants and shops, but our street was pretty quiet.

Cons:

There is a set of stone stairs up to the condos. We were on the 1st floor but there are 2 levels above us, so steps could be a problem for some. The couch wasn’t very comfortable. Playacar is expensive and pretty busy, lots of people, buskers (fun!) and vendors (not so much fun)

Perfect for a family stay.
Pros:

The location, the service, the facilities were amazing. I had an issue with the hottub and they were on it quickly and resolved the same day. It was perfect for a family of four. My child loved the pool.

Pros:

The installations are good and comfortable. The pool, even if its small, is nice and calm, most of the time is empty. We rented the penthouse that on the roof you have an enormous terrace for yourself with jacuzzi. The apparemment was big and spacious with good sound proofing. Free parking and close to Quinta Avenida and beach. Overall we had a pleasant stay

Cons:

Some tableware looked a bit dirty and the kitchen devices a bit old and over used. Nothing to worry about, but still.

En 1 gebeurtenis waar ik niet heel te vrede over was.
Na de 1ste dag ging ik boven op het terras liggen en had mijn buideltasje op de keuken tafel laten liggen
De dag ervoor had ik geld gewisseld en ik miste 1500 pesos ( 3 blauwe briefjes van 500)
Ik zag de persoon die mijn vuil opruimde naar beneden lopen met vuil. Liep naar hem toe en vroeg hem zijn naam en deed net of hij mij niet verstond. Ik vertelde hem of hij in mijn kamer was geweest en dat ik 1500 pesos miste uit mijn tasje hij deed net of die me niet begreep. En zei reception reception. Hij was niet al te groot en rond de 20 a 25 jaar naar mijn inschatting. Ik heb het erbij gelaten en ben niet naar de receptie gegaan omdat ik wist dat ik het toch niet kon bewijzen. Heb vervolgens wel de dagen erna me geld goed bij me gehouden.
