A good old basic hotel with a good bed, shower and breakfast. A good location in Penestanan with good coffee opposite and Alchemy fresh vegan food nearby. There is a building site behind but only noise dying the day.
The whole area is being gentrified and it is losing the old Penestanan but no fault of Y resort which is still operating
Aussenanlage ist sehr schön, viel Potenzial. Allerdings ist alles in die Jahre gekommen. Die Aussenanlage aber vor allem die Zimmer benötigen dringend eine Renovierung.
Die freundlichen Angestellten wirkten nicht sehr motiviert und mussten teilweise gesucht werden.
Frühstück nicht zu empfehlen, Mittagessen und Abendessen gab es nicht, obwohl es offiziell und auf der Karte angeboten wurde.
Zudem liegt das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Strasse und aktuell an einer grossen Baustelle. Entsprechend laut war es tagsüber. Zusätzlich waren die Zimmer sehr hellhörig.
El hotel es muy bonito. Llegamos tarde y agracedimos que la piscina no tuviera horarios pues la usamos al anochecer y el baño fue muy agradable. Al dia siguiente teniamos que salir a las 7:15 y nos adelantaron el desayuno respecto a la hora de comienzo habitual.
No puedo resaltar nada.

Location close to outpost coworking and lots of vegan restaurants. Large grounds and nice setting. Staff were helpful with carrying luggage and friendly. Room cleaned each day. Fridge in room was helpful.
Pool looked dirty and not safe for swimming. Room and bathroom smelt damp and bathroom as not clean, lots of mould around sink. Only 1 plug socket in the room. No atmosphere at this hotel. Sunbeds smelt like BO. Fish pond water by reception looked dirty and fish not well cared for.
Nice facility and pool
When we checked in they weren't able to give us the room that we preferred because apparently the ceiling was damaged due heavy heavy rain. They gave us a different room till our room get ready but the room we got wasn't any different than the other one. The ceiling was leaking so water was all over the place, so many ants and insects everywhere. When we contacted reception they understood the situation but couldn't do much about it. We had to leave 2 days before the actual check out day and we were promised by the hotel that we will at least get a partial refund which they rejected later on.
location was convenient to walk to centre of Ubud
there wasn't enough lighting for the desk where i needed to work on my laptop. and there was no chair for the work desk. i had to make-do with the table from the veranda. the swimming pool didn't have the water filter on. anyway, there were a few guests who were in the pool with normal attire rather than swim suits so i didn't feel like going into the water.
It’s very pretty outside, and the pool looked so lovely. The rooms also look like little villas which was sweet!
The WiFi is pretty hit and miss. We lost connection a lot, which was a bit frustrating purely as we wanted to be in touch with family back home.
Breakfast was quite plain, and the coffee arrived but still had the granules in, and the milk separated once it was added so not sure what happened with that. I’d say overall it’s quite basic but it got us through the days that we needed.
Also, the pond directly by reception, looked a little murky and as there are fish in it, I’d maybe have expected it to be a bit cleanser for them
Although a little rundown in places, this property is very good value for money. The staff, although occasionally tricky to track down (not often at reception) are very friendly and accommodating. The garden is lush and peaceful and the swimming pool is great. Located on a busy road with plenty of dining options, the hotel could really do with upping their own F&B offer. There was never anyone eating there and with a bit of a tidy up and some marketing knowhow, they could turn the resort into a vibrant destination. As things stand it looks virtually abandoned.
FRIENDLY employee. Each room looking to the CORTYARD with pool. GAZEBO in the garden is so nice to rest and feel the nature. Comfortable BED. Locaion is adequate to buy or eat food, shops and cafes around, also a Temple :)
Poor WIRELESS. No INSENCE against mosqitoes in the terrace. MOLD around the sink and mirror, mirror having weak lighting. Also need of bar hanger as extra. No access to electricity from the DESK, also need of lamp and a stool. Longer curtain holder will be practical when you leave the wooden door open, better if windows slide to have FRESH AIR. (Most of the rooms have sliding entrance) To put one flower in the room may be a welcoming gesture :). LOCATION is not next to the Monkey Forest as it is mentioned, but noisy street; which is also not safe physically for WALKING or riding on winding narrow road, weak or no side walk.
