Pros:

The host Teru San is excellent and he really cares about his guests. It is quiet and away from the resorts and lets you explore the village and make connections.

Cons:

Probably the only thing is getting to and from the ski fields but Teru San did take us and bring us back for a few - which alleviated the pressure.

Awesome place that was welcoming and comfortable, we were sad to leave - but we will be back!
Pros:

Excellent all round. Very helpful and friendly hosts, excellent facilities, great location, perfect vibe. I will definitely be staying here and only here from now on when I visit Niseko.

Cozy local guesthouse with a benevolent local host married the love of the mountains with Japanese culture.
Pros:

We booked the TR Niseko House on a last minute decision after our other accommodation fell through. And we soon realized that we had a been afforded a very lucky circumstance. The rooms are clean, the living quarters are cozy and warm, and the location is conveniently nestled in the quiet local community of Niseko. But the host is the special gem of this place. While his English is not his strong suit, Mizuguchi is a warm and accommodating local guide to have access to while you experience this region. He offers to cook for you every night, in exchange for a small fee that covers the groceries. He generously shares invaluable info about the surrounding regions backcountry offerings and will even guide you for a very decent price. (He took us up Mt. Yotei, an experience we wouldn’t not have dared to do without his guidance.) We quickly adjusted to the slow and peaceful way of life of the TR Niseko house and bemoaned the mere chance that we didn’t have this haven to rely on during our stay in Niseko.

Perhaps the only downside of our stay is the reality that we now have to come back and visit in the summer, and every subsequent winter from here on out.

Cons:

I would say the only drawback is that the bathroom was kept at a cold temperature, but as this made us use the onsen more frequently, it was hardly a drawback.
