Fine for us
Pros:

There are 3 rooms at this village hotel/café/bar/restaurant, our room was small but fine for us, good breakfast & easy parking. Handy village shop and great butchers nearby, dining options in the area limited.

Cons:

coffee machine was a bit of a faff, world rather a kettle.

Set in a lovely small village. Lovely bar attached and room nicely decorated

Pros:

A clean and comfortable room with a very good quality breakfast. Although not included in the price, the restaurant is highly recommended for an evening meal. The town itself was very quiet, but it provided us with an ideal stopover as we travelled to northern Scotland.

Cons:

My only minor criticism was that the room door rattled - easily solved by putting a weight against it.

Very friendly, clean and comfortable and good value for money.
Pros:

Very friendly, helpful staff. They provided an evening meal for us even though the restaurant was closed .The room was spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We slept very well. Very good breakfast and the friendly staff checked if there was anything else we needed.

Cons:

The booking.com filter implied that they provided evening meals for the night we were staying. The staff went out of their way to get us a meal but there was an issue with the booking.com search filter.

Great accommodation, shame about the breakfast.
Pros:

We chose the king room and it was exceptional with a brilliant shower.
Really friendly and helpful staff too.

Cons:

Having to order breakfast the night before was unusual and the choice was limited with the only cereal being very sweet granola which came with Yogurt, but too much granola for the quantity of yogurt so too dry to eat. Fortunately one of us asked for oat milk due to an allergy, so we shared it.

Pros:

Very nice kind staff. Loved the location. Amazing breakfast. Everything spotless. We enjoyed our little stay.

Cons:

Our room was rather small, and the bed very small. Sadly no kettle would have loved a cup of tea!

Glad we found this village and hotel
Pros:

Staff AND locals made us feel welcome. Skye the the person behind the bar was exceptional, she was very professional and looked after us. She booked us in, showed us to our room and even put the hotel Wi-Fi on our phones for us. They did not do an evening meal (which we did know about in advance). We were recommended a venue couple of minutes up the road and had an excellent meal.

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike. Because we were attending a car rally and breakfast was not till 9am Skye told us she would do a packed meal. True to her word it was there in the fridge the next day ready for us to leave at 7pm. Thank you Skye

Lovely accommodation. Excellent value
Pros:

We stayed earlier in the month and enjoyed our stay. On our return, we were made very welcome, especially as we had mistakenly booked it for June not May. They were able to accommodate us as someone had left early. No charge for change. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. We will return.

A lovely relaxing short break
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the check-in process was quick and easy. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet, which made for a relaxing stay.

The location was excellent, easy to get other places and lovely walks by the river Tweed. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options.

Overall, the hotel offered great value for money and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.
