What's not to like? A reinvigoration of an old pub, done as well as you could imagine yourself if you had free rein.
Booking, welcome, stay, departure, all top class.
My scrambled eggs could have been a little bit more yellow at breakfast. Also the melba toast could have been a nice chewy sourdough.
all aspects of this hotel are lovely. location, décor, staff the rooms.
the water pressure in the shower is fantastic.
Quality little gem of a hotel, and i hope i will have the excuse to come back soon

Hotel is situated in the middle of Norham, which is a historic village with a ruined castle. The hotel is more of a pub with rooms, but the facilities are up to good hotel standards. The lunch and breakfast were excellent.
The hotel does not have an evening restaurant, but the other pub in the village more than compensates for this lack. Small point. A cheap coffee pod machine in the bedroom would be a considerable improvement on instant coffee sachets. (I frequently make this point in other reviews)
Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Our first time staying after 2 visits for lunch.
Rooms fresh and clean. Excellent breakfast - beautifully cooked with high quality local ingredients. The whole team are very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was excellent, nothing was to much trouble for the staff to accommodate our requirements, location was good for our requirements
Maybe a shelf in the bathroom to accommodate toiletries, but was not a deal breaker would happily stay again
Friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, luxury linen
Really great hotel, superb service and attention to detail. Highly recommended!
The room was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you would need. The shower was also brilliant and very powerful. The pub downstairs was cosy and welcoming with a great choice of drinks and snacks. The breakfast was delicious, well worth it. We also ate at the sister pub on the evening and would recommend visiting that too - the food was amazing!.
The bed was absolutely fine for me, but my partner is tall and found that his feet kept getting stuck in the bars!
What a lovely bar, very helpful and friendly staff, and welcoming. We checked in and was asked if we had a good journey and if the A1 was busy.
We were shown to our room which was spotless, after freshing up we went down to the bar, and greeted by the customer's and had a chat.
The drinks were good and good price.
After a wander around the village we went upstairs to our room, lovely and warm (room 2) watched a bit telly and settled down for sleep.
Really good comfy bed and pillows, slept really well. Next morning went down to breakfast.
The breakfast was plentiful and beautiful, and again the morning staff very helpful and friendly.
A fantastic stay and we will definitely be back.
Nothing everything was perfect.
Warm welcome, room lovely and clean .
Nicely decorated.
Location great, plenty of parking
Being woken at 7am by cleaner moving furniture and vacuuming.
No other choice but 9am for breakfast . Very limiting
Fan and towel rail in bathroom not working
Illuminated green exit light in bedroom on constantly.
No one there to pay our bill in the morning.
The hotel is located in the centre of the village. A 15 minute walk to either the castle in one direction, or the river in the other. The room was small, but had everything we needed and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was outstanding. We ordered breakfast the night before and it was beautifully presented and delicious. The hotel is very popular with locals at lunchtime for its meal service. There is a bar which again was very popular in the evenings. All in all, this is a gem of a place if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Norham area. We enjoyed our walk along the river, across the bridge and into Scotland.

Great little hotel with amazing staff
Bespoke rooms and great value for money
Lovely staff, great room that was clean and well equipped. In a beautiful village with a couple of good pubs. Great breakfast. EV charger across the road.
Being above a bar, expect some noise till a reasonable time.
Very helpful staff who went the extra mile to accommodate us. Lovely clean room above the pub area which was also lovely with no noise at all from downstairs. Breakfast absolutely outstanding!
We had a comfort room which was the only one available and it was extremely small, as was the bed.
Super cute little place. Homey and friendly people.
Stayed on our journey up to Fife and upon our return journey homewards. Everything was just perfect plus the Bistro cuisine was exceptional and plentiful. Rooms were both pristine and comfort level exceptional.
There was nothing not to like.
Set in a beautiful area The Victoria Hotel is an incredible find. Welcoming efficient staff, sumptuous bed and crystal white linens and fluffy towels. Bistro on site serving excellent fare. Spotlessly presented room .
Everything was just perfect!!
We liked how it was situated in a lovely village called Norham.
We liked everything about the property
The location was great, and the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much bother for them.
