The staff are kind, friendly and helpful, and the rooms nice and comfortable - great value!
Pros:

The staff were helpful, informative and very friendly. Breakfast was simple and served quickly, which was great because we had a cruise to catch early the next day. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable, and I found the hotel to be really good value for the price. We only needed a comfortable place to rest for the night before our booking early the next day, so the booking served our needs well for a quick one-night stay.

Cons:

The location wasn't great because there were a lot of unused new developments in the area, giving a slightly ghost-town feel that I would have found intimidating if I were travelling by myself. I found out this is due to large-scale developments that were heavily impacted by the pandemic and the recent storm season, and the area hasn't fully recovered in the tourism/accommodation sector yet. There isn't much to do at that end of town, but it was lovely and quiet, which was great for a rest. I hope this coming high season makes a positive difference for the area and the good people I met there.

Note: We found it challenging to find a working ATM and a good Vietnamese meal nearby for dinner (the area mainly has Chinese food due to all the Chinese investments going into the area atm), but we did arrive later in the evening, so perhaps we would have had more options had we arrived earlier in the day.

Misleading - Given Different Rooms Than the Ones You Booked

Be Careful – You May Be Given a Different Room Than the One You Booked

I want to share our experience so that other travelers are aware. We booked two King Rooms with a balcony. The photos associated with this room type clearly show bright rooms with a balcony, and when you use the balcony filter, this is the room that appears.

However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given rooms with only a small window and no balcony. When we tried to explain this to the staff, they insisted that we had misunderstood the booking. We were quite certain about the room type we had selected and the information shown before completing the reservation.

We arrived very late at night after a long journey and were extremely tired and feeling unwell. We tried to calmly explain that we had carefully checked the room details before booking and that if there had been any mistake, it should be corrected. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the issue, we were repeatedly told that we had misunderstood.

At that point, we suspected that the rooms we had booked may have been given to other guests. Unfortunately, we had already paid in cash upon arrival. When we asked about changing the payment method or finding a solution, we were told that we could simply go to another hotel. Since everyone in our group was exhausted, that was not a realistic option.

Later, the hotel offered a 15% refund and asked us to block the credit card so they could proceed with a cancellation, which made the situation even more confusing.

Despite what happened, I am actually glad I had the chance to write this review so that future guests can be aware and double-check their reservations.

As for the overall impression of the hotel: the property feels somewhat old and does not give the fresh impression shown in the photos. The level of cleanliness was also average.
