Perfect retreat - out of network
Pros:

The location. The rooms. The layout. The view. Easy access by public transport. Amazing coffee and breakfast. Friendly staff. Poor wifi and mobile network - a total retreat from the internet.

Met our needs for one night. Interesting building.
Pros:

Location on the lake was amazing. Nicely semi restored old heritage rooms. Staff extremely helpful. Wonderful cooked breakfast, especially given constraints of a general power outage.

Cons:

Small bathroom. Pillows.

Cons:

Paying fourty nine pounds for dinner consisting of a desert spoon mash half a carrot small floret of cauliflower small cheese scone and stew meat. They don't provide starters or sweets. That was for two meals + coke &tonic water.

Pros:

Ein wunderbares,sehr altes Gebäude mit sehr viel Charme. Man fühlte sich 200Jahre zurückversetzt. Die Lage ist abseits der Strasse und ideal wenn man Ruhe sucht, wenige Meter vom See. Wir waren in der Nebensaison da und praktisch alleine. Der Chef kocht hervorragend und wenn man das kleine Restaurant mit Bar betritt, sorgt der Chef mit Lounge-Musik für einen schönen Hintergrund. Ebenfalls hat es schöne, auserlesene Whiskies.

Pros:

Myself and 6 members of my family stayed in 3 self-catering apartments and one hotel room. The view was stunning it was so quiet and peaceful the manager was so accommodating in helping me as it was a surprise for my wife on our 30th wedding anniversary and she didn't know about rest of family arriving. All family love dalehead lakeside and we are planning a return trip in the winter A WONDERFUL STAY...
