Unfair ratings and price, luck of water, electricity and safety.
Cons:

Mzima Beach was our first out of three hotels in Kenya. Compacting to others it is not a 5* hotel as mentioned in booking.com. This is such a guest house without proper kitchen, luck of water or electricity.
The house is overpriced and has unfair ratings, which I honestly think is corrupting by management according to the situation which happened to me in this guest house.

One of the cleaners Omar Kai or Elizabeth Kiaka is stole my headphones from the bad while cleaning the room. My husband was inside the house, and they just took it while setting up the bad. Headphones were connected to my phone and I could see how they moved from the Mzima Beach and were moving around the city the whole day. When I asked GM Stephen to make an action, he was unhelpful. They took screenshots from my phone and just made me he conclusion report about the action. My statement about complaint to booking.com did not work as GM said he knows the owner and he will do nothing to a stuff as they are working long time in the house. I honestly felt unsafe in this guest house.

I would kindly ask booking.com check properly the hotels they are promoting, because this one is absolutely unfair in ratings and prices.


P.S. There is near by Pinewood hotel, which in reality better in price and services, Al bough has only 4* on booking.com

A great location even though that little bit further from the airport. Fantastic staff and very tasty fresh food.
Pros:

Very quiet, and the balcony area was excellent. Room was spacious and good air condition.

Cons:

Nothing really, but it would’ve been good to have a TV

Pros:

Gute Lage mit eigenem Strand. Essenwiird größtenteils am Strand aufgebaut.

Cons:

Das Wasser ist jetzt im Januar mit viel Seetang etc. voll, ebenso der Strand. Bei Ebbe sind sehr viele Steine im Wasser, so wartet man am besten auf die Flut, die kam aber erst Mittags gegen 15 Uhr.. Der Poll könnte öfter gereinigt werden.

Attentive staff. Amazing body exfoliation scrub in the spa which was so reasonably priced.

My deluxe suite was nice. Loved the entrance system to rooms via PIN code.

Pros:

Das Abendessen fand abwechselnd in verschiedenen Locations statt. Am Strand und auch am Pool war es super schön aufgebaut und wirklich toll. Im eigentlichen Restaurant war das Essen zwar genauso gut, aber die Location am Strand und Pool ist natürlich wesentlich schöner.
Es gibt tolle Liegen am Strand, eine Bar im Pool und am Strand, leckeres Essen, gute Cocktails, eine Tischtennisplatte und angenehme Massagen. Gerne wieder.

Cons:

Typisch deutsch wurden von einigen Urlaubern bereits vor dem Frühstück die Liegen reserviert. Das Hotel kann die Liegen gerne freiräumen, wenn diese lange nicht besetzt sind.

Ruhiges Resort der gehobenen Klasse
Pros:

Super all inklusive Resort mit sehr gutem abwechslungsreichen Essen jeden Tag ein anderes Thema. Alles inklusive mit Flaschen/Dosen portionsgerecht und somit frisch. Nicht aus einem Spender wie so häufig bei AI.

Pros:

The staff were friendly & professional,they sang me happy birthday & made me a wonderful birthday cake,felt so special, made me tear up. Loved the delicious fresh food,beautiful hotel. Air conditioning works well,lovely pool bar. Enjoyed the theme nights at dinner,the hotel & beach don't get too crowded. My family & I will definitely be going back.

Cons:

There's a lot of coral at the beach by the hotel,had to walk further to get into the water. The beach boys can be a nuisance as well.

Great people in and outside of the resort
Pros:

Lovely gardens and great people. Peaceful location. The Community shop at the beach next to the resort offers lovely boat trips and snorkeling. Do not hesitate to get to know the locals and support their livelihood there.
