Nice staff. Free beer everyday. Lot of space to explore
It seemed empty for high season
We booked a two-night stay at La Cervecería Tulum Boutique Hotel, expecting a pleasant experience, but it was highly disappointing.
Upon arrival, we weren’t told that the rooms were up four flights of stairs, and the digital key, accessed via an app, didn’t work when attempting to enter. The hotel felt deserted, with no staff present—only a cat wandering around. Its location next to a noisy highway undermined the “boutique” vibe. We upgraded to a “jacuzzi room,” but the tub was poorly placed by the entrance with no lighting.
Our friends’ room had one bed, forcing one to sleep on the floor. A requested duvet never arrived. The room also had a wasp infestation—over 20 inside and a swarm on the patio, our friend was stung by a wasp while trying to sleep at night. A rainstorm flooded their entrance. Both rooms had only one towel per person for two nights, and the hot water never worked, leaving us with cold showers.
The next morning, no staff were available by 9:30 AM, and multiple calls went unanswered. Expedia couldn’t reach the hotel either and advised waiting 72 hours. A restaurant employee later said they couldn’t assist, and another claimed the hotel was “closed for personal reasons,” which was unacceptable without prior notice.
The poor location, lack of service, and unresolved issues made our stay stressful. We’re still awaiting a refund for the night we didn’t stay and cannot recommend this hotel. If the hotel was “closed” on the 18th we demand a refund
Staff members were friendly.
The parts that were being used was well maintained. There were many areas not being used but still a very nice hotel. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Paco showed me many restaurants and things to do in the city, he was very helpful
The location and the setup
Nothing! We could see what they were trying for - we only stayed a night due to the facilities being so unclean and poor.
Pools were unclean. Mouldy seat coverings outside. Building work going on (so wouldn’t have been able to relax around the pool). Poor location - very far away from Tulum. Room we were given initially had no hot water and the toilet didn’t work. “Upgrade”we were offered had a plunge pool that wasn’t clean, towels were dirty (and promptly changed) but, the bedding had cigarette burns and the cushions on the bed stunk of damp. It’s Next door to a very busy & LOUD highway (they provide earplugs).
We chose to stay elsewhere. Shame, we were looking forward to staying here.
The safe was friendly and we ended up upgrading to the all-inclusive for our one night stay. They say there is beer in the room but this is only true and included if the all-inclusive is booked. The eco-friendly part was big for us but this does effect if you have water or not in your room. At times we did not. The restaurant was delicious and a highlight. While we were there during the off season, it is an adult only resort BUT the owners kids were using the pool, this was a disappointment for what we were expecting in our experience.
The service was very very poor. There was no hope water. There was no water at night when you want to use the bathroom. The had the same food everyday. In general the hotel was horrible
It is a nice traditional decor, but need better management. No hot water during my stays, during the night water hot shut off, because I could not flush the toilet twice after using it. I had to use bottled water for 2 days that I had an early pickup for my activity. Same menu, when you do all inclusive and very limited. Some days you will ask for something they told you they do not have it. I will not recommend it to anyone.
Can’t complain, I would recommend to anyone.
It’s private and quite , although they play great music ,, the food was amazing even tho they ran out of a few things ..
room was clean a few spider webs but to be expected.. room was so close to pool it was great .. room service was great too ..
I guess it’s off season but the common area could have been more clean, the ponds could have been on just more
Presentable to new customers ..
we go all
Inclusive but they don’t have certain thing. On that menu which forces you to purchase food ..
the breakfast could have more option for meat , no steak sausage bacon or salmon on the menu.
The room was great. The pool fantastic. The property is really cool and has a fantastic vibe. Initially the all inclusive package seemed a bit pricey, plus we thought we would get out and go to the beach most days, or visit a cenote. But meals in the restuarant were amazing, but expensive. But I must say it again - Amazing. This was some of the best dining we've had anywhere. Although we're not really foodies and don't frequent Michelin hatted restuarants.
So ended we ended up opting for the all inclusive package. Its actually quite good value for Tulum (one of the most expensive places we've travelled to - New York and London expensive). There is a cenote (Tankah) across the road that was nice to visit. But we really spent our few days by the pool, cocktail in hand (or beer), dining on fine food in the restuarant. It was nice indulgent few days. I would highly recommend staying here and getting the all inclusive package.
Nothing about the brewery here. It's fantastic.
BUT Tulum is really expensive, especially the hotel zone and along the beach area here.
Loved the time we spent here. The reviews complain about the highway and it being loud. The whole time we were there it was quiet and peaceful. The food and drinks were delicious. The massages at the spa were very relaxing. All in all we will be definitely returning back!!! Perfect way to spend our honeymoon!
Mala atencion
We had a great experience through dinner at the Cervecería. The restaurant performances were amazing and the service was stellar, seemed very underrated. The hotel room itself was also very nice. However, our experience was tarnished by an incident of theft. There was an accident on the highway that left the hotel without electricity from early morning hours and the rest of our stay until checkout around noon. The problem is, the door locks depend on electricity for a magnet locking mechanism. Because it was so hot in the room without AC in the morning, we went for a walk around the property, which itself is very rundown and overgrown. Looks like a wasteland, or a ghost town. We even considered going in the pool until we saw a dead bird floating in what was already unclean looking water. While we were on our walk, someone went into the room and stole my coin purse with about $200 in cash, and the room couldn’t be locked due to the electricity problem. What started as a great experience was ruined. The staff said there are cameras the owner can check, but if they depend on electricity that won’t be helpful. We weren’t expecting any help.
Bonito lugar, cómodo, la entrada en forma de luna, la piscina y la habitación espectaculares. El restaurante con variedad de platillos y buen precio. Un poco lejos de zona centro de Tulum por lo que se necesita auto o taxi.
What a beautiful jungle retreat. Perfect for a family vacation or trip with friends. Staff are all friendly and welcoming, Santiago, Fili, Mario and all of the staff at the brewery restaurant were simply amazing, thank you for making our first family trip to Tulum so memorable and enjoyable. One thing to remember is good bug repellent because the mosquitos were just as hospitable as the employees.
