In general quite good. Staff helpful. Located not far from city center and museums and restaurants.

A great place to stay. Clean and has a/c in rooms. Great staff. A beautiful place.

This place is quite rundown and not as nice as it looks in the photos. However, the breakfast is okay, and the staff are very friendly. It's well located, as you can simply walk along the same street and reach the Mercado Central and other attractions. Even though it's located on a very trafficked street, the room that we got was really quiet.

Each of them at different times went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

The Victorian Hotel is a wonderful older house with classic charm. Aside from the charm, it had plentiful hot water, my room had a great big bathtub tha was great to soak in, and each room has air conditioning.

It's in a perfect spot on Paseo Colon which is a heavy traffic, main boulevard but you'll hear little city noise.

The free breakfast is huge and tasty and would run you close to twenty US dollars at Sopa Tapia.

The people and the place represent the spirit of San José very well.

O lugar é muito bonito, antigo, adaptado. Não oferece café da manhã colonial, não tem frigobar, nem ducha higiênica e não tem ar condicionado em todos os quartos. Mas são quartos grandes e confortáveis.

Great customer service and very helpful staff.

This is a beautifully restored Victorian house. The breakfast is delicious, the staff and owner couldn't be nicer or more facilitating. We were able to leave our luggage there all day and pass the time in the lobby. The area isn't very nice but when you're in hotel you aren't aware of it. The second floor rooms are up the stairs, since there's no elevator.

Was a very unique property but lacked essentials. Room had no fridge. No chair. No iron. No blow dryer.

Probably the best staff I have ever encountered in all of my many journeys all over the world. Great service and food. Quaint and delightful place . Prime location for Paseo Colon
