Stay on Lake Fewa at New Elite
Pros:

Beyond a comfortable and best staying we enjoyed the serenity of the place. Phewa Lake is at your hand from Room 6,7&8. We did not take food during our stay here,so can't say about it. What made our stay pleasant is the behaviour of the hotel owner and his whole family. They were unique in service whenever need be.
We wish to come here again just to receive cordial and homely behaviour of the host and feel fewa at heart sitting in the balcony.

Cons:

Some drawbacks if need be spoken that is some fittings of bathroom which should be taken care of.
But that little thing will not disturb you.

Pros:

At first sight the room looked clean w views of the lake. I arrived early after overnight bus but they were kind enough to let me have a room to rest in once it had been freed up. Location is also not bad. Host seemed nice at first.

Cons:

- No hot water shower - depends on your luck as some reviews said there was hot water. When I raised this to the owner he simply asked me to shower in the shared toilet as it would take too long to fix the issue. I asked again to have hot water in my room as the shared toilet was cramp and small and he again he asked i use the shared toilet. When I didn't want to give in, that's when he started coming off rather passive aggressive. He didn't fix the shower but credits to him for bringing buckets of hot water to my room although done begrudgingly.

- Cleanliness questionable - Sheets had stains on them. Woke up to hives (usually happens when the surface I'm on is dirty) and found what looked like bedbugs on my pillow. Checked out immediately at 4am and found a place that had much better hospitality and rooms for same price.

- Hospitality - Didn't feel particularly welcome to the place. Host seemed nice at first but the moment you raise any issues he comes off nonchalant and rather paggro. Saw him in a heated exchange with another guest as well.

Lakeview balcony, quiet room in great location
Pros:

Sunset views from the balcony were great. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and shops, but quiet at night (make sure to ask for a higher level room). Great value
