Terrible Experience at The Grand Leela Hotel

I had an extremely disappointing stay at The Grand Leela Hotel. The overall hygiene was appalling—the room had cockroaches, the towels were dirty, and the cleanliness was far below basic standards. While the food was average, it did not make up for the lack of hygiene and poor service.

What made the experience even worse was the rude and unprofessional behavior of Ms. Jaya, the General Manager. She completely lacked basic manners and showed no concern for guest satisfaction. Her attitude was dismissive and unpleasant throughout the stay.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I do not recommend staying here, and I hope management seriously reconsiders its staff training and hotel maintenance. Ms. Jaya needs training on how to speak to customers.

We stayed at The Grand Leela Hotel for three nights and were thoroughly disappointed, especially considering the high price we paid. The hotel had numerous maintenance issues. The washroom had serious drainage problems, and the room was infested with insects. Dirty towels were provided, and the overall hygiene was very poor.

I seriously want a refund. This was a horrible and worst experience.

They charged us for the meal even though we informed them it was too salty and not tasty. They initially promised they wouldn't charge us, but since Ms. Jaya took our feedback personally and got upset. She made sure we paid the full amount. It's unbelievable that someone like her is still working there.

Jaya.. I hope you also get the worst experience someday and learn some manners

Economy room are very small

The staff were not very helpful and often took there time to respond to requests. They were unable to make a copy of a keycard, they couldn't give bathroom towels, we had to repeat orders and requests

Also, the room I was given had clearly not been cleaned, there was a line of insects running along the headboard on the bed, not sure how the cleaner missed that.. And the bed sheets were not fresh with small insects flying around.

We ate at the restaurant once, there were ant lines everywhere, in some places there were all over bits of food that had fallen on the floor. and the service from the staff was also poor. We ordered and had to sit for close to an hour to get our food and even then the order didn't come right.

There was also no fridge and no safety lock box, which is shocking given I paid for a deluxe room.

The food was awesome. The pool area is well placed near the executive suites

There should be more activities

The AC in our rooms were not cooling enough. On notifying the management, they were aware of the issue due to power outage but didn't turn on the generator assuming no guest complaint so there'd be no problems. Assuming this when guests are in the hotel is not good for business.

We had to notify this issue 11.30 PM at night. Till then even after knowing the problem no actions were taken.

Room service is not available. the complimentary Water bottle is so small. and one common drinking water cooler is required on the property for free of cost because, in the summer, drinking water is needed.

No AC dining area of resort.
Resort area is very small hardly any space ,seems like a mariage lawn is converted into a so called resort.
Its not a resort it's a lodge.
Also If you make online bookings ,they will start fighting with you and start negotiations but don't get confused they will simply thug you.

The food is very costly as compared to the taste.

Please stop mis-using the name of Leela hotels and resort.
They tried to fool people by not mentioning it's a property of Leela hotel and when called and asked before confirming the bookings they have fraudulently tried to thug . Please please don't get into the trap ,it's a new property and they are trying to fool customers.

Food... Food charges are very inflated. They are charging 15rs breadwada to 150 rs. It's very high price. Room service was not so good. We asked for water 4 times then he came after half hour. Bathroom is very congested n small.
