Without A Paddle Hotel

Very clean and bonusvof having the wine bar with £6 each off breakfast, the food there is delicious. Very friendly, a great find, have stayed in a few places llangollen this will definitely be 1st choice in the future

Location great, bit of noise from the pub beer garden below but as expected on a summer night with windows open. The rooms are in an old property, tastefully decorated, basic but very clean and comfortable.

Wir hatten ein Triple Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk: Sehr hübsches Ambiente, sehr sauber und gute Betten. Tolle Lage. Unkomplizierte Anreise (wir bekamen im Vorfeld unsere Zimmernummer sowie die Türcodes zugeschickt, Parken war im Hof möglich (Parkplätze sind allerdings begrenzt). Sehr gutes. Frühstück im Nachbarhotel.

I like the room and how comfortable a night sleep I got, easy to find at the centre of Llangollen. Served my purpose.

We booked this before lunch time and set off on our 200 mile journey to the property and when we arrived at the property all we were given was an access code for the front door and not the room. We checked our emails several times to see if we’d missed something, but not, so we rang and rang and rang the various telephone numbers provided to no answer at all. We left voicemail messages, we left text messages and we even went into the Booking.com app to message directly. Over and hour we were still trying to get into the room, tired, hungry and with our luggage at our feet and our vehicle parked up a distance away. We then went through Booking.com directly to see if they could assist, but they couldn’t get an answer either. I noticed outside a pub next door that also was a hotel so I asked if they had any rooms available and explained our situation. They surprisingly give us a code to try which worked and so we got into our room, 2 hours later from trying. When we did get into our room it was as if someone had not long vacated it and it stunk of takeaway food. We were tired so just wanted to shower and go to bed as it was late. The shower was either scalding hot where it was actually dangerous or freezing cold. All in all what promised to be a nice stay turned into a nightmare and the lack of communication is simply unforgivable when they were happy to take our money. NOTE if you are advertising rooms to let and process bookings through here, the customer needs all the right information to access the rooms and be available for any communications which sadly wasn’t the case. I wouldn’t recommend this property at all and I’d save yourself any likely issues and check out the numerous hotels close by, at least they have real people and a reception and are not conducting their business from another country… even to this day several days later we have had zero feedback or apologies! Poor poor poor!
