We enjoyed our stay. There was a very friendly atmosphere throughout and Graham was a great host.
Pros:

The food was excellent. Good varied menu and all home cooked. Very generous portions too.
The location was excellent for travelling around the area.
Graham was friendly and welcoming. Nothing was any bother to him.

Cons:

Don't think anything really needed to be better.

Prefect peninsula place
Pros:

The host Graham could not be more of a host.

From communication prior to staying, and his warm welcome during my stay, he truly exceeded any expectations.

The sauna was a perfect and unexpected addition to the stay as was the fresh cooked Highlands breakfast each morning.

Free parking on site and waking up to the sound of a burn and the birds.

Pros:

I have told you often that the owner was too drunk to open the door and a neighbour said he’s been on a four day bender during which he was stumbling around naked. I was alone for a four day stay so the man said it was unsafe for me and two French ladies to stay. At 5pm we had to find an alternative.

Cons:

Don’t ask me again. I have sent two emails previously. Sort your admin out.

Do not book this hotel !!
I did and when I got there at the time I stated it was locked up and when I called I could hear the phone ringing but no one answered.
Terrible service

Great weekend was had by staying here
Pros:

The host where 10 out of 10 and from the minute I arrived my stay was prefect from checking in early to breakfast
The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable, shower was warm and very easy to control
Breakfast was 10 out of 10 and locally produced but most importantly loads to keep me going through the day
Graham was very helpful on places to visit over my 3 days and 2 night so much so am planning to stay there in the future ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

Pros:

nothing. Wasn't able to stay. Arrived to find the owner passed out drunk on a sofa surrounded by rubbish. Didn't feel safe, so left and sought an alternative.

Cons:

See above. Booking.com helpline were totally nonplussed when reported it. Didn't even offer to help me find alternative accomodation. Terrible experience.

Amazing hospitality!

Huge potential but overall disappointing. A damn shame.
Pros:

The evening meals we had and the breakfast were delicious and Graham could not have gone out of his way anymore to be accommodating.

Cons:

The rooms left a lot to be desired. Our room only had a bath, no shower and the whole hotel smelt of damp. On our last night Graham took our order for food and then disappeared. Unable to locate him we had to go elsewhere for our evening meal. The next morning he was still nowhere to be seen and no breakfast was provided. I would not recommend anyone to stay here as the owner is unreliable. A real shame as the location is beautiful.

Good at the start but a sad end.

I liked the location and the price of the accommodation

Cons:

The Hotel Manager initially was very friendly and chatty and made his guests feel welcome. He was also the main chef and the evening meals were of a good standard. However, on my third day staying at the hotel he seemed to disappear and could not be found. It then transpired that he is an alcoholic and had sadly "gone on a bender". This meant that there was no breakfast on the fourth morning and that stray items of his clothing could be found around the corridors of the hotel in the morning. I later found out that this does occur from time to time. He was missing fro the rest of my stay, but a good friend had stepped in to provide breakfast for the few remaining guests. It was a rather sad situation.
