Beautiful hotel, stunning food
Pros:

Beautifully decorated and clean. Staff were friendly and food was exceptional.

Cons:

Disappointed I mentioned it was my wife’s 40th birthday when I made the dinner reservation, but there wasn’t a single acknowledgement.

Room was a touch too warm.

Absolutely idyllic. A gorgeous place and the staff who enhanced the experience and made it homely.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent couldn’t do enough for me and generous portions and offerings all in the price. The location was fantastic just a 20 minute cycle to or from Bakewell.

Cons:

Potentially a few more food options for main dinner, but it was very posh and what they did they did very well, so this is probably why.

Excellent food, excellent staff and overall comfortable
Pros:

Comfortable, carefully designed to make the most of the building. I would like to say that the plant based menu was extremely good, so nice to have dishes I would not make at home.

Cons:

I found my room stuffy as I prefer fresh air into my room at night and opening up the secondary glazing was tricky.

Pros:

Location was excellent for walks in different directions. Room was comfortable and clean. Traditional decoration throughout the hotel.

Cons:

The food was very "high brow" but that is a personal preference. Access to the car park was a trek, especially when the weather was inclement. Would have been better to have a back door to the hotel.
