Great self contained family hotel. Amazing location.
Pros:

Everything. A great self contained hotel for a small family that has everything we need. Kitchen, microwave, mini oven, washer/dryer, dining table. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location in Ueno was the best we have found in our Japan trip.

Pros:

Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. It was a little noisy from street noise, and be careful about which location you're booking as there are two Ueno locations and we went to the wrong one at first. Easy walking to local attractions and several excellent coffee shops nearby.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly stay
Pros:

Location was great for exploring upper Tokyo. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Loved doing laundry in room.

Cons:

Beds were a bit hard for my personal taste and pillows not supportive enough (for a middle-aged woman whose body is getting creaky)

A great option for the traveler who needs a cozy, practical place after long days exploring Tokyo.
Pros:

We took an extended stay in Tokyo, and used Section L as our "home base". It's a bit of a trek from Ueno station, but far enough to escape the craziness of the crowds near the park. There is a Family Mart on the corner, andd some excellent restaurants and small bars nearby that are off the beaten path, but worth visiting. The room was comfortably cool, and the beds did the trick, though we rearranged the room a bit to accomodate our needs. The washing machine and mini-kitchen are priceless, and the TV allowed me to sign into streaming for evening movies. The staff is friendly and informative - just a great place overall that came to feel like home away from home for my son and I on spring break.

Cons:

Like I said, it's a bit of a trek from the JR station, and they should update their linens policy to alllow a change of sheets after 5 days - you can get fresh towels every 3 days, but the beds are what you get - not bad for a shorter stay, but we were on site for 9 days, and would have enjoyed a change in bedding at least once during that time without paying extra.
