Pros:

The location was great and very relaxing.

Cons:

Washrooms need to be exceptionally cleaned and maintained (some fittings were loose). Soap and fresh towels need to be provided for all guests. Got 1 towel short and no soap. Linen seemed fresh but had stains. The color of the carpet makes the room extremely dull.

Overall need more attention on cleanliness on overall property and making the rooms more brighter with natural light.

The staff was nice and the breakfast was good. Beautiful location.

Cons:

The room was the dirtiest we had so far in Sri Lanka. Comparing this hotel to others here, the price-performance ratio was not right.

A Tranquil Sri Lankan Experience
Pros:

The area is so peaceful. Its such a relaxing taste of Sri Lankan countryside and the road walk near the lake is tranquil and healing. The front garden is very nice and there is a little table where you can watch the sunset. The rooftop patio has a view of the lake. The staff are so nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The kottu was exceptional!! This is a great escape from the crowded villages and is perfect if you are visiting Yala National Park block 4&5. They packed us our breakfast nicely because we had to get up early for our safari.

Cons:

The cafe and guest room bathrooms could be cleaner/fresher
