Ich war schon mal hier vor 4 Jahren, damals war es ein nettes Hotel, Zimmer und Pool gepflegt, u.a. mit lokalen Tagesgästen, die zum Essen kamen. Der letzte Aufenthalt war mehr als enttäuschend! Zimmer und Pool sind in einem schlechten Zustand, wenig gepflegt, der feine kleine Garten wurde durch einen Rohbau, der stillsteht ersetzt, und anstatt dass man sich um das bestehende Hotel kümmert, wird ein zweiter Teil bewirtschaftet.
Das Zimmer meiner Kollegin hatte eine kaputte Lampe, die dann aber getauscht wurde, OK, aber in meinen Zimmer wurde das Waschbecken nicht an der Wand befestigt, und ist beim Gesicht waschen zusammengebrochen! Zum Glück wurde ich nicht verletzt. Das Personal murmelte nur verlegen "sorry, sorry" und war total überfordert.
Der Manager kam bei unserer Abreise erst als wir schon im Auto saßen - in feinsten Anzug gekleidet - um uns zu winken!
Der Rest ist einfach unprofessionell: Das bestelte Taxi war u.a. nicht aufindbar, eine Neubestellung war mühsam, das vorbestellte Essen dauert sehr sehr lange, das Personal ist bemüht, aber unfähig und überfordert, und es war nicht möglich eine Rechnung - weder fürs Hotel noch für das Taxi - zu bekommen.
Fazit: Fehlende Pflege, gefährliche Konstruktionen!
This was a stay for my mother-in-law who needed a last minute stay after coming from the hospital. The staff was amazing as they realized that she could not use a room that needed stairs to access. They gave her a room that was accessible to her. Thank you Calabash for your kind care for our mama.

3. TV Channel Variety - there was no content on the available single channel, just DsTV advert on loop
The staff was very friendly.
We just needed a place to stay before going to Tanzania and it was an adequate stay for that. The receptionist arranged a taxi to the border. The friendly driver helped us to find a taxi!
The hotel is a bit dark with long corridors and a bit outdated, however they are currently doing renovations, so it will probably be updated.
Quiet location near to the town.
Nice breakfast buffet and a wide range of food for lunch or dinner. Restaurant is open till late. Very welcoming staff and caring management.
Secure parking and security.
Perfect stopover on your way.

Some cracking tiles on the balcony so you feel a bit unsafe.
But as the hotel is just under renovation this will be sorted hopefully.
