From the moment you are greeted , you know you made a great choice. The room was fantastic, spacious with all amenities and more and the biggest rain shower bath I have been in Europe . The restaurant was a hit for lunch, great red sangria , delicious carbonara, sadly missed the great breakfast they offer. Look no further

I recently stayed at Catalonia Gran Vía BCN for a girls’ weekend, and it was the perfect choice for our trip to Barcelona.
Although we arrived late in the evening, we received a wonderfully warm welcome from the hotel team and were delighted to be given a complimentary upgrade to a Superior Room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a fantastic start to our stay.
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable city break. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge after busy days exploring Barcelona.
The hotel’s location is excellent, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away, making it an ideal base for discovering everything the city has to offer. Despite being so central, it felt like a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.
One of the standout features was the swimming pool. Having a pool in the heart of the city was a real luxury, and on most occasions I visited, it was wonderfully quiet. It provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona and was a lovely place to unwind.
Throughout our stay, every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, adding to the overall experience.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Catalonia Gran Vía BCN again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming hotel in a fantastic location for exploring Barcelona.
