The staff are all wonderful! Such a warm and friendly place to stay. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
Pros:

The property is well kept, lovely and clean. The room is nicely decorated and feels modern. It’s in a great location! Yes it’s a bit noisy as it’s on a main road but it didn’t affect my stay at all. As a solo traveller I found the noise helped me feel safe.

Perfect place to stay in Ahangama, amazing and super friendly hosts, you will feel most welcomed
Pros:

- Amazing guest owners, really fun and friendly, they are really engaging with the guests, sometimes inviting you to go out
- Loved the pool and beautiful rooftop view to the sea
- Very clean and aesthetics
- comfortable and clean beds
- clean bathroom
- Amazing location, almost direct access to the sea, all spots are walkable

Cons:

- everything was perfect! The place has amazing location but that also means it’s on the main road so you do hear noise from the main road

Close to the Gas Point.
Pros:

I loved the room and how clean it was. There were lots of choices for breakfast, so that was nice. Close to the Gas Point.

Cons:

We gave our loundry to one lady and she organized the laundry service. When we got clothes back, they smelled nice, but they were not washed, they were still dirty and had stains on.

Pros:

Had a great stay! The place is clean and well maintained, close to everything, with incredibly friendly staff. The surf lessons and instructor, Ashan, were awesome.

Pros:

The staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast was delicious ! The view from the rooftop was beautiful and overall the environment in the guest house was calm and inviting. We had surf lessons and the instructor was very supportive and attentive, always sharing tips for improvement.

Cons:

The only thing we believe could be improved is the footage of the surf lessons. For the price per class (quite high), we had very few videos and pictures considering the amount of time we were in the water. Most waves were not captured which was disappointing. The quality of the pictures could also be better (they were out of focus or in a weird angle). Having had similar experiences before, we were expecting more effort.

Fantastic property and people!
Pros:

The staff here are fantastic - they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent location in the heart of Ahangama. Lovely breakfast with a fabulous rooftop view of the surf. The room was light, bright and comfortable with great a/c, good bathroom and lots of space. The pool and outdoor area is fab. Thank you everyone at Ohana, we loved our stay and were sad to leave!

Cons:

As others have said, Ohana is on a busy, noisy Sri Lankan road! But we didn't find it was an issue.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay. We were very well taken care of. We also took two days of surf lessons, organized by the owner himself. Thanks to him, we were able to stand on the board successfully several times. I highly recommend this place. The rooms are tidy, the pool is lovely, the breakfast is good, and the service is loving and kind. We would love to come back (in Madeira😉)

The place is lovely, the room is clean and well furnished and spacious. Rodolfo and Paula are really nice and the staff is also really kind.

The hostel being next to the road it can be noisy sometimes

Schöne Anlage, nettes Personal, schöne Zimmer

Cons:

Das Guesthouse liegt direkt an einer lauten und stark befahrenen Straße. Entspannt am Pool liegen geht nur mit Lärm im Hintergrund oder Noisecontrolling-Kopfhörern. Auch im Bett habe ich nur mit Oropax schlafen können.

A very nice stay!
Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay at Ohana. The room was clean and well equipped with all the essentials (such as shampoo, a nice hot shower, complimentary water in the room, good quality towels and good air conditioning). The staff were exceptionally friendly, the pool was great, and the location is very central. I also took my first surf lesson, which I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend. All in all, highly recommended!
