Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Zona Colonial, within walking distance of Santo Domingo’s main tourist attractions. Its colonial-style architecture transports you back in time, allowing you to imagine yourself in the atmosphere of the 16th–17th centuries.
Inside, however, the hotel is fully adapted to modern needs. The clean rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a private bathroom, a coffee table, and armchairs. The bed is large and features soft, comfortable sheets.
The breakfast offers a variety of healthy options. Overall, it is excellent value for the money. I would highly recommend this place for an extended stay.

Cons:

As a personal preference, I would prefer a firmer mattress.

Beautiful hotel, it really is like staying in a wonderful museum. Lovely courtyard and rooftop sitting area.
Perfectly situated in the old town, within a short walk of all sites.

Historical beauty in the heart of Zona Colonial.
Pros:

the actual structure is absolutely STUNNING, historical.
incredible experience. The internal courtyard is picture worthy. The size of the rooms is also good.
the breakfast is homemade and very tasty, they make it for you on the spot

Cons:

our aircon unit broke fully and they couldn’t move us rooms, and the night employee couldn’t really use critical thinking to give us an extra fan for the room.
However the manager solved the issue on the next day and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. So it was kind of them.

It’s slightly noisy in the morning because it’s close to one of the main squares, but it’s perfectly silent at night.
