Pros:

The tree house is a pleasant place to stay. The main event are the birds. Small and large, of various colors. Behind the wall lives a group of peacocks that occasionally walk under the house. They have issues with their size. They think they are the size of pigeons.
The location is close to the main intersection but far enough away that you can't hear the traffic. The village has everything you need, even a bank! I recommend visiting the surrounding lakes and villages. Easy walking, peaceful and full of animals. The people are friendly.
The host can arrange a safari (with a selected guide/driver!). Mine was noticeably better than the others. The host has his own tuk-tuk and can take you around, which you can combine with a transfer to the next accommodation.

Unieke ervaring in een echte boomhut met een bijzonder sympatieke eigenaar. Hij heeft voor ons een trip geregeld naar Minneriya tegen een faire prijs en ons ‘s ochtends heel vroeg met zijn eigen tuktuk naar Sigiriya op en neer gebracht. Daarnaast liet hij allemaal spannende beestjes rond het terrein zien, waar we allevier erg van genoten.

Cons:

Houd er rekening mee dat er geen AC of warm water aanwezig is in de tree house (dit wordt ook duidelijk aangegeven). Een verblijf bij Angry Birds draait om de unieke ervaring en is meer back to basics, en de prijs per nacht is hier goed op afgestemd. Als je op zoek bent naar een luxe resort dan ben je hier bij het verkeerde adres.

Pros:

We stayed for one night on our way from Trincomalee to Colombo. Very friendly owner arranged a jeep safari to see elephants. Place is in a very good location in Habarana.

Cons:

Would be perfect with AC, but considering the price it was very nice!

Unforgettable stay.
An Hurulu jeep safari has been organized by Angry Birds owner upon our arrival in Habarana, it was excellent.

Nice nature location off the noisy city center. Nice and helpful staff.

Good stay in Habarana
Pros:

Very affordable stay with a hospitable host who provided us complimentary breakfast featuring local fares like hoppers, string hoppers with fillings, curry puffs, bananas and tea/ coffee. Walking distance from the bus station. Host arranged for our elephant safari experience at a reasonable price with a guide/ driver who was fun and honest. We parked our scooter underneath the house. There's an insect net over the bed. Nights can get chilly since the place is forested. Host also dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. Overall a pleasant stay for the price paid.

Cons:

It is advertised as a treehouse afterall. But my expectation was perhaps a little too high, since I've stayed in treehouses in other SEA countries at about the same price but in better conditions. Door does not close properly. Surfaces are slightly dusty. You'd need patience with the steps to go up.

What a great place to stay!!! It is pretty cool to sleep in a tree house with all these nature sounds. Especially as you can stay there after an excellent elephant safari nearby. It feels like a real adventure all together!
I was worried about the Moskitos but the moskito net worked pretty well, so I got no bites at all during the night.

Pros:

If you are thinking of trying a stay in the tree house, this is definitely a good place to start with. Really nice breakfast, location is also very convenient as it is very close to the center but hidden among trees and farms. Also owner is very helpful and friendly. Great stay!
