It’s quirky! The detail to the character is fantastic. The room is very comfortable and so quiet.
Easy access to quayside walks and city.
Didn’t really stay long enough or try all facilities this was very much a flying leisure visit.
Well appointed clean room and bathroom
I believe I should have been warned about the parking at check in. There are two levels but only the front level is for hotel patrons the upper level is for the adjacent gym and they send out parking fines if you park there. To be fair there is a sign but at night this really does not stand out.
Very unique and fantastic history
Different to every other boring hotel
Ideal location close to city centre (15 min walk). Lovely hotel with good facilities and a very good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall it was an excellent stay and would recommend it if you are ever in Newcastle.
Only negative was our room could of been cleaned a bit better in some areas. Dust on most of the pipes in bedroom and bathroom and on top of plug sockets. Only minor points but attention to detail is a must for a top hotel. Overall it was an excellent stay and would recommend it if you are ever in Newcastle.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options
It is a beautiful hotel and staff were lovely.
I booked a junior suite and the smell hit you when you walked in, it basically smelt of poo. I presume it was the drains? I sprayed perfume everywhere to try disguise it. I had my new slippers with me and the soles were filthy after wearing them in the suite. Very disappointing .
The bar was fantastic with a great atmosphere and staff. Lived the shower and bath mezzanine.
Some of the furnishings were a little tired including the carpet.
The staff at the hotel were amazing and extremely helpful.
