Good location, OK facilities
much less friendly / hospitable than any of the other properties we stayed at in the Cotswold. Staff seemed to just be there to pick up a paycheck, not interested in customers or service.
It was ok
The location for access to the other Cotswold villages was great. Parking on and off site is good. We were given a ground floor room so access was good. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but breakfast was well presented with cooked and buffet on offer.
Our room had plenty of electric sockets and mirrors.
Our stay was really good but if I had to pick a few niggles I would say our standard double room was a little small and the bed was a regular double. Our ground floor room had a lovely view across the gardens but with no net curtains we spend some time changing with the curtains shut.
The carpet was stained in places as was the bathroom floor around the toilet.
Easy to park, nice little village. Breakfast was good, service staff were very good. Pleasant pub attached and two more in the village.
Our ground floor room's window was overlooked by the front lawn and there were no net curtains, so it didn’t feel very private. Not a big problem in March, but in summer, with people drinking there, wouldn't have been very pleasant. Room was quite small too.
Bonito y acogedor. Muy tranquilo.
Location was great. The room was compact but comfortable. Lift was handy. The staff were all polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, good quality and plenty of choice.
The only thing I didn't like was that the sink in our room was badly cracked. It could do with being replaced.
I booked a luxury room, it was very clean. But it was also very tied and in need of some repairs. When we ordered dinner in the restaurant, there had ran out of first, second choice, however I had the sea bass and it was ok. I was very disappointed with the luxury room quality. Also the door key was very difficult to open.
The location was quiet good with access to good areas.
Location and parking was good, dinner was excellent
Lovely old hotel and comfortable room. Free parking & plenty of spaces.
Friendly and helpful staff, who worked so hard. Dietary requirements were catered for, nothing was a problem - had a delicious gluten free fish and chip evening meal; fruit, Greek yoghurt & cooked breakfast, so very good for Coeliacs.
Perfect location for walks along the Cotswold Way, also visited Hidcote Gardens.
Would definitely stay here again.
Nothing
Nothing , didn't stay
Location not correct
Piękny stary budynek w cudownej okolicy. Personel profesjonalny, miły, dowcipny i bardzo zaangażowany. Ludzie to bardzo mocna strona tego miejsca. Można poczuć się jak w domu. Na miejscu pub i restauracja. Swiwtna kuchnia. Zamówiliśmy kalmary i rybę w sosie winnym, znakomite. Podobnie śniadania, różnorodne i smaczne. Na pewno przy kolejnej okazji zwiedzania Cotswolds wrócimy do tego hotelu.
The manager was an absolute delight, a wonderfully dry humour which we found very endearing and fabulously refreshing!
The bar staff were lovely and welcoming.
Breakfast was busy and as we were a party of 12 made arrangements for us to eat in the bar area so we didn’t have wait or get split up. The food itself was fresh and top drawer 10/10
I’d definitely return! Thank you.
An extra toaster or a couple of more efficient ones would be good, a couple of our party had to wait for the toast.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfy bed, lovely having access to a small outdoor area as travelling with our dog.
Eating in the bar was quite noisy as it is also the public bar. Also it was quite a long walk to and from the self service breakfast in the restaurant as we were in the dog friendly bar.
Great accommodation, friendly staff
