Fabulous
Pros:

Food was fantastic of a very high quality. We had an evening meal on the two nights we stayed there. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly…nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely be happy to return.

It’s fine for a couple of nights
Pros:

Location is good, bed comfy, fan in room helpful and needed. Good water pressure. WiFi fast. Easy check in and out. Decent breakfast but more healthy options would be welcome. Nice and quiet.

Cons:

Room was very tired and carpet worn, vaulted ceilings meant you need to stoop a lot but it is an old building. Boiling hot on second floor. It was fine for a couple of nights in the area but hard to recommend strongly at the price for the size of the room. Actually, the thing that made me most annoyed of all was the coffee at breakfast. It was absolutely revolting, i was almost offended to be served it.

We enjoyed our stay and the food and service was decent. Whilst it didn’t detract from our stay, some areas need a littl
Pros:

Beautiful building and lovely beer garden. It was great having a small private patio to use from the bedroom. Being able to leave the door open in the hot weather was great.

Cons:

Parts of the building were in need of a bit of love and attention. Some of the paintwork was looking a little tired. The private patio needs a good weeding.

Basic rooms, great pub.
Pros:

Perfectly located near the natural reserve. It’s a 20 minute ride to the trailhead to hike to Pen Y Fan. The pub serves delicious food, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and a pleasure to talk to. Their hospitality was definitely a highlight of the experience.

Cons:

Our room was quite small located in a building that felt more like a motel than a hotel. The accommodations were very basic, and the room became uncomfortably hot in the afternoon. Considering the price, we did not feel it offered good value.
