The hotel layout was perfect for dog owners, the staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The food especially the breakfast and Fish and chip night were excellent.
The locals were very friendly in the bar and in and about the village.
Excellent stay in every way.
Will return
Nothing
Excellent stay all round
excellent breakfast and dinner in restaurant
Beautiful location
No comfortable chairs In hotel room .
They had a beautiful lounge area with bar to sit in bar closed and the room was so depressing as all daylight shut out by big heavy curtains across locked doors it was such a shame .service slow for evening meal waitress did not communicate with us .no breakfast menu portion size changed day to day. Would prefer to choose from written menu instead of waiting staff just say do u want a full English . Not to my taste I like to be tempted by looking at menu poor coffee.
We stayed in small room but think it shouldn’t be used as you have pipes all over room for main central heating it was awful. Also it was above breakfast room they had music playing from 6am we where not impressed by being woken at 6am speaker needs to be moved .bed far to small for to adults hubby over 6foot .towels where lovely.
Service charged to our evening meal bill would have liked the options not pay!!!! As top price for food and bar restaurant freezing cold.
Liked the location, very central, car park, lift, very friendly staff and the breakfast was good for a vegetarian. The room was a bit small but adequate, lots of storage, TV, very large bed which was very comfortable. Shower over the bath. The room was very clean.
Shame it was not a walk in shower as my mum could not use the shower but I should of checked. My only disappointment was that the toilet brush was very rusty and stained and should have been replaced for a new one and there was a few spots of black mould on the grout between the tiles on the bath.
The staff and the food
Our room, very different to what was advertised on Booking.com. however it was rectified kindly and professionally
Friendliness and really large comfortable bed..
Accommodates the dog and provides biscuits bowl and dog blankets
Comfortable clean room, friendly staff
Buffet breakfast was abit dry, we came for breakfast towards the end of the time schedule and what was left was dry , no one staff were around on arrival to the breakfast room.
We stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were lovely & friendly. Our room was clean and very comfortable and given the terrible weather, it was nice & warm.
Being as it was raining so much we decided to watch the England Rugby game in the comfort of the bar, by the log fire.
We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and again, the staff were excellent. I highly recommend the sea bass.
Breakfast was your usual selection of cereals, fruits and hot food which was self service.
We wouldn’t think twice about returning, but perhaps when the weather is better so we can see more of the area. The outside seating area looks like it would be great in the summer.
And did I mention the staff were great :-)
Absolutely nothing to dislike. And the onsite parking was good.
It was a very comfortable stay and all the staff were amazing!
None
breakfast was great . starters at dinner were overpriced £12.95 a bit much.
all good apart from meal starters price
The location of the hotel is great both for the local amenities and as a base for touring the Cotswolds. Lovely fluffy white towels. We met some lovely people there too at The Pudding Club held there on Friday evening.
The room needs a bit of a personality injection and a general upgrade. Very bland and tired.
We were there for a party.
The room was very tired, old furniture, rust stains in bathroom.
Excellent location in picturesque Cotswold village. Cosy and welcoming foyer and bar with nice warm fires. Staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable .Rooms were really clean and comfortable .Liked the choice of a bath or shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was really good ,with a great choice ,including varied selection of fruit and cereals .The full English was a proper local breakfast, with really friendly hostessing courtesy of Sally! We had a meal in the hotel on one of the evenings and it was delicious -would recommend the shoulder of lamb (the price of the meals was similar to the two other hostelries in Mickleton.) A particular bonus is 'Happy Hour ' at the bar in the afternoon (which lasts until 6pm ).There was also a scenic view of the hotel garden and the village from our window ,which also indicates the potential for a pleasant Summer afternoon or evening in their beer garden. We will return!
Perfect stay.Thanks.
We took our Dog and the room was great with a little garden he could use
The location was beautiful. The thing I loved most were the staff, especially the lady on the check in who was so friendly and helpful. It makes a massive difference to be greeted by a friendly helpful face x
Nothing
Friendly staff, good breakfast, happy hour in the bar, cozy feel to the hotel
Had to move room as the beer cooler was running from 5.45 am to 10.45 pm and the noise was intrusive but they let us move and were very gracious about it so full marks to them.
