Fantastic stay in the most wonderfull hotel
Pros:

Fantastic hotel in the center of Stellenbosch. Extremely friendly and helpfull staff. Charming old hotel with two pool areas. Fantastic breakfast.
Situated in walking distance of eveything in Stellenbosch.
Highly recommendable.

Lovely stay but having to ask for common stuff that staff should be doing is not acceptable
Pros:

Pro’s - hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area.
Facilities are tastefully decorated and clean.

Cons:

Cons - plug points are not accessible, all plug points are behind furniture, we had to move a table in order to charge our phones and use a hairdryer.
Housekeeping staff are inconsistent- some days glasses are provided, other days not. Same with face towels.
On the last light the toilet paper was not replenished, which is common at most hotels, as if we would steal a R5 toilet paper after paying R30k for accommodation!

Charming, attractive, peaceful hotel in a fantastic location
Pros:

Fantastic location - easy walking distance to the heart of stellenbosch but just far enough away that it is peaceful and calm. Not one but two swimming pool areas! Both with a good number of comfortable sun loungers. Very attractive outdoor areas, indoor sitting room and dining room. Good WiFi speed (we needed to work remotely). Very good breakfast menu. Helpful and polite staff, flexible and accommodating to our needs. Quiet bedroom, large comfortable bed.

Cons:

Our bedroom and bathroom could do with a refresh - paintwork looking tired.

Very enjoyable made even better by excellent staff.
Pros:

Extremely well located in a quiet district within easy walking distance of most of the sights of Stellenbosch plus lively wine bars and restaurants. Very well appointed, classy building. The staff were all excellent, going out of their way to help on many occasions.

Cons:

Food was a bit limited but perfectly OK and there are very many places to eat and drink within a short distance so no problem.
