Very immature service with run-down room, came for peace but got noise and frustration

Cons:

We booked the Suite with bathtub, but got offered either a Bungalow (with no noise isolation) or a Family suite without bathtub (with supposedly better noise isolation). We went with the Family suite, only to find out that it also has very poor noise isolation. So we had to cut short our planned honeymoon. Importantly, they didn't inform us early enough in advance that they will have very loud parties in both directions of the room (they only let us know a day in advance, and we couldn't book anything else with similar level). The parties were so loud that even the earphones couldn't block completely. Service-wise, this is extremely immature for a so-called five-star resort, and we got no compensation whatsoever for the noise we had to endure on both evenings. They even overcharged us at the end (the total end amount is higher than what is shown here), claiming they need to also pay the fee for Booking.com.

Tôi lựa chọn book vì resort được vận hành bởi Wyndham, và tài liệu quảng cáo 4-5 sao. Tuy nhiên, cơ sở vật chất rất tệ mặc dù giá phòng không hề rẻ. Drap giường, khăn tắm và các vật dụng đều sử dụng loại chất lượng kém, màu sắc đã cũ xỉn, toilette có mùi hôi. Phòng, hành lang, thang máy đều không được vệ sinh sạch sẽ, hay tiện nghi để đạt tiêu chuẩn 4-5 sao. Nhân viên KS còn nhầm cả booking của tôi với booking khác, đã trừ 100% tiền trong thẻ tín dụng nhưng vẫn báo thông tin qua hệ thống booking là cần activate lại thẻ tín dụng, nếu không sẽ hủy booking này. Tôi phản hồi trên chat của booking cũng ko thấy trả lời. Chỉ khi tôi gọi điện thì nhân viên mới bảo đã nhầm với booking khách khác, ko có lời xin lỗi đàng hoàng. Hình tôi gửi là hành lang khi tôi mở cửa phòng ra, trông cực kỳ nhếch nhác với cây lá héo, tường dơ bẩn. Hình còn lại là gương soi trong toilette đã xuống cấp (ngoài ra rất nhiều hạng mục xuống cấp mà tôi ko chụp)

Enchanting location to see the countryside around Ninh Binh
Pros:

Spacious resort with plenty of green open spaces. Helpful staff, in particular Don who went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. He ordered buggies and made travel arrangements for us to maximise our stay in Ninh Binh - he really made a very positive difference for us!

Cons:

The resort is around 40 minutes away from Ninh Binh itself. Breakfast finishing at 9:30am was a bit too early for us.

A lovely hidden gem that would be even better with a bit of updating
Pros:

The staff were absolutely incredible—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely helpful in organising our plans. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel well looked after, escorting us to our room by golf cart and picking us up again on checkout day. The space itself feels very luxurious and thoughtfully designed. While the location is a bit remote, it offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. We didn’t see many international visitors, which made it feel like a true hidden gem. The breakfast buffet was incredible, with a great variety and excellent quality.

Cons:

The rooms were somewhat aged, with details like peeling paint or a bit of mould in the bathroom that didn't quite meet 5-star standards. They could do with a bit of a facelift. The sauna and swimming pool area felt a bit untidy and neglected, which didn't feel like a 5* standard.
