A property that values local tourists but advertises for foreigners they do not want
Pros:

The room had the basics - hot water works (quite variable) wifi works (quite variable) View from the balcony is amazing and the main room is extremely comfortable with good linens and air conditioning (quite variable). Breakfast is provided, restaurant staff are extremely nice and helpful. This is a fair review if looking at room alone as it was reasonably good for the price point in a town which is reasonably expensive. The bathroom is basic but big and what you would expect of a 30 dollar a night guest house.

Cons:

I am still flabbergasted as to why this chain advertises on international booking sites when the company protocol is to deny international reservations by credit card. This causes extreme angst and a lot of arguments and finger pointing. If it was made clear to international guests they are not allowed to do these bookings a lot of angst would be avoided. Avoid this chain unless you can pay prior to departure via international transfer from your home country. Most foreigners do assume a valid credit card they can use to pay in advance would be more than acceptable. Also, location is debateable, good for the view but not near anything else. I spent at least 1 hour in a conversation about how I was such a bad person because of this policy and it was my fault (note - no internet available to do international transfers in most of Gilgit-Baltistan as requires 4g-5g). If this had been made clear, I would have avoided the property 100%, Staff are extremely happy to tell you that you are the problem and probably should go elsewhere.
