Midernes Hotel an prima Lage!
Pros:

Wunderbare Lage mit direkter Meersicht.
Moderner Ausbau, Grösse der Zimmer.
Airportbus und Linienbusse in unmittelbarer Umgebung.
Es braucht keinen Mietwagen.

Cons:

Sauna und Türkischbad sehr klein, ungemütlich und entsprechen leider nicht einem Fünfsterne Hotel.

Die Lage war gut!

Cons:

Das Frühstück war einem 5-Sterne Hotel nicht angemessen! Pressfleisch auf dem Buffet geht gar nicht. In dem Hotel sollen Pausschalreisende billig abgefüttert werden. Es wurde kein ordentlicher Schinken oder Lachs angeboten. Der Spa-Bereich war eingentlich nicht existent. 2 Saunaplätze bei ca. 150 Zimmern sind viel zu wenig. Im Gym (ohne Tageslicht) wurde Wasser angeboten, aber es waren keine Becher vorhanden. Reklamationen wurden mit Arroganz beantwortet! Nie wieder!!!

Pros:

Great staff in a below average hotel.

Cons:

Definitely not 5 star, more like 3 star. Location is great but everything needs a revamp and the rooms stank of dirty drains. Excellent staff in a below average hotel. Awful breakfast. We left after one night.

Amazing experience, great for relaxing and enjoying Madeira.
Pros:

Super attentive staff and very nice overall atmosphere.
We were lucky to get a very big room, with windows overlooking the sea.

Cons:

If you mind not having 100% quiet at night, then the sound of the sea might bother you.
The elevator on our floor is directly across the “gym”, which is a bit outdated :|

Great location with ocean views
Pros:

Amazing location with stunning views right next to the ocean. The Funchal city center is also quite close. Good room. Helpful staff. Good buffet food.

Cons:

We did not like the breakfast basket (requested for a day trip) - low quality sandwiches for a super high price. We did not expect this when everything else was so great.
