If you must be close to the action of the Bund and East Nanjing Road, this is a decent place to stay
Pros:

If you're looking to stay close to the Bund but a little bit away from the traffic of East Nanjing Road, this is a good place. It's within easy walking distance (6-10 minutes walk) of a metro station. The staff was very kind and helpful and the beds were comfy.

Cons:

The pictures make it seem like you will have excellent views of the Oriental Pearl Tower from your terrace, but that's only true if you get a north-facing room. I had a lovely view of a construction site and the edge of the building from my terrace. Additionally, the comfy bed was so large it filled the small room space so I had nowhere to put my bag and unpack. I made do with the floor because I didn't want to get my bed dirty. There's no closet to hang things up either.

Disappointing
Pros:

Great location near the bund.

Cons:

The room had mould growing on the ceiling, I noticed a damp smell the first night but couldn’t pin it down. I noticed on the second night and they moved me next door, to a nicer room but still does not excuse the first room. The room was also not the cleanest, there was obvious dirt and marks on the wall (not just part of the aesthetic). The wifi didn’t work for me despite the front desk trying but not one of us could get it to work - I had to spend extra money on additional data and was unable to complete tasks I had to do on my laptop. My room also noted I had a view but it was just looking onto the inside which is quite misleading. I don’t think the value for money was there at all and I wouldn’t return if I came back to Shanghai although the front desk did their best to try and make a bad situation a bit better. Communication was quite difficult. I really loved Shanghai so this was a bit of a dampening on my overall experience.

Great view of the bund and location
Pros:

Location of the hotel was great, walking distance to the Bund and shops. We have a great view of the oriental tower from our room and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. The set breakfast was delicious and hotel staff were friendly and attentive.

Cons:

bund view room was super tiny, barely had space to walk around inside the room and balcony was super small. We then upgraded to a bigger room which was so much bigger and had 3 balconies!

Pros:

我喜歡早餐是作好一份組合餐,酒店提供的很棒！ 餐廳用餐環境氛圍很好, 老式電梯体現舊上海風情, 房間內的大電視超讚！

Beautiful building and location. Toilet/shower needs more privacy.
Pros:

Location is perfect, two blocks away from the classic skyline view, and from the pedestrian road Nanjing. Comfy. Staff is super friendly and attentive. There's room outside to wait for taxis and there are plenty around at any time.

Cons:

The toilet/shower walls are made of frosted glass, which is see-through and not sound isolated. So unless you're super comfortable with your partner seeing/listening you across the glass, you may want a room with separate bathroom/toilet. For the price (about €150) I was expecting at least a regular door.

Hip and chic. The room is too small with this price range.

It’s hip and chic. I booked Bund view. Nice view but in Dec’25 then surrounding is under construction.
