It was very pleasant
Pros:

Keeping the traditional Pub/Guest House look. Easily accessible and have parking. Nice quiet area and close to a lot of things around. Well equipped with everything. Hosts are amazing. The Thai dinner was absolutely delicious.

Cons:

The price was on a higher end. By the time you add the room, dinner and breakfast together it comes above £200 a night. But we don’t travel that much so I have to say it was worth it at the end. They were very nice and accommodating.

We were sorry not to have stayed longer!
Pros:

Rooms were decorated beautifully and sympathetically to the original characteristics. Super clean and comfortable. Location is gorgeous, I can imagine it’s stunning in the summer. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Average at best, could be better with a few fixes
Pros:

Modernised bathroom. Convenient having food options downstairs however…

Cons:

We were told we were the only guests that evening but they couldn’t accommodate us for dinner downstairs and didn’t seem to be making much of an effort in this regard which is a shame. We eventually got a take away from the restaurant but that’s not ideal given the cost of the room per night and the Thai food. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable, it felt like it was collapsing onto itself. These are easy fixes to make the room and experience much better. We wanted to address these issues with reception staff but unfortunately it was a ghost town in the morning.

Pros:

Staff were lovely, room was very cute and well stocked despite being small. Food in the restaurant was amazing.

Cons:

Parking wasn't clear and although bed and bathroom were clean there we quite a few cobwebs

Perfect for what we needed .
Pros:

We lived the quirky features and the decor. The lady who welcomed us was very nice

Cons:

We had a small issue with the door not closing properly so we were unable to lock the door when we left for dinner

It’s a great place to stay.
Pros:

Absolutely fabulous great staff the breakfast was superb they can’t do enough for you it’s a great place to stay the bed was really comfortable and the shower was great too. It’s a shame we were there meeting up with family elsewhere so we didn’t get to try the Tai Restaurant but the menu looked fabulous we will definitely be going back!

Everything was great.

Pros:

Location and grounds were beautiful and it is a fantastic location if you are looking for a stop over after/before Alton Towers. If you stay you have to eat in the restaurant…exceptional. All the staff are very attentive and welcoming

Pros:

The location was great, so close to Alton towers for our visit and they let us check in early which was an added bonus. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Lovely hotel and nice clean, comfy room. Would definitely stay again! Breakfast was also great.
