Great location. Perfect for a family group and loved the hot tub! Slept so well too!

A retreat to the soul.
Pros:

The house itself was peace, calm and surrounded by trees, it felt a balm to our souls.
We loved the hot tub, having the bamboo hedge in front helped the feeling of privacy.
The location. Whilst feeling completely isolated, it's a 5 minute walk to the town.
Loved the features of this old property and really appreciated the answers to our thoughts from the owner who lives next door.
The kitchen has everything you need, the bottle of fizz was a very welcomed gift.
Our dog absolutely loved every room within the house, even the stairs and tiled floors. We were worried but there clearly is a difference between laminate flooring and real, old wooden floors, according to the dog. He felt at peace all over the property and anyone with dogs knows this makes everything ok.

Cons:

If you are after a pristine, hospital type, sterile cleanliness then this possibly isn't the place for you, however if you recognise this is a very old property, that possibly costs thousands to maintain. That being a listed building, l would suspect that anything that needs to be done costs time and £££££.
The small negatives are vastly outdone by the positives.

My father booked this place, as a family we all spoke about it and l have rated it.
