Very good
Pros:

The owners were really friendly and accommodating when we requested an early breakfast. We got a huge fresh cooked soup noodle which was perfect fuel for the start of our hike up Huangshan. The space was very clean, comfortable and spacious.

Cons:

Our room window faced a busy main road that was a little noisy at times, but bearable.

Pros:

Definitely value for money. The lady boss/staff is very friendly and ensure we have enough for breakfast and plenty of bottled water to hydrate ourselves. Makes the stay very pleasant.

Mountain view is just so so

Suitable for groups/good location
Pros:

The room was big, clean and well maintained. Possibility to get all meals in the hotel. Not far from the bus station to go to the Yellow Mountains or back to Huangshan train station. Also, very near from the ancient Hongcun village. The lady boss picked me up (on bike) from outside as i couldn't find the hotel location, was very nice!

Cons:

Probably not very convenient for solo foreign travelers or foreigners who cannot speak Chinese since the staff doesn't speak English at all. Also, Visa/Mastercard were not accepted, so need to pay in cash or through Wechat pay, etc. Hotel location not easy to find since the name is in Chinese only. Breakfast is typically Chinese style (but i was fine with it). But if you are alright with it, no problem at all.

Good budget choice
Pros:

I received a very warm welcome here, although we were communicating through a translation app as I don't speak Mandarin and they don't speak English! The owner and her husband were very friendly and hospitable. My room was large and comfortable with a really really good shower. Breakfast was very Chinese but good - and adapted on day 2 as day 1's rice porridge wasn't really to my taste.

Location-wise, it's less than 5 minutes' walk to the West Gate bus station and less than 10 to Hongcun village proper. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Cons:

I had a 'mountain view' room, which did have a view of a mountain but was also looking out over the road. A bit noisy when the windows were open but quiet enough when they were closed.

Exceptional stay at an affordable rate
Pros:

This place is extremely worth the money.. large room, large bed, very clean, the operator was very friendly and accomodating..

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. How ever do note that this property is multi storey but with no lifts. So if you are traveling heavy be prepared to carry the bags up.
