Food was lovely
Pros:

The staff were lovely, really helpful. The food was good, as much or as little as you like.

Cons:

The bed was not even and very lumpy. Didn't sleep well. You took your life into your hands when you used the toilet. The seat didn't fit and moved.

Cons:

The room was filthy. Blood stains and hairs on the bed, mould on shower curtain, the room was terrible dates, very very nosie hotel, the bed was not comfortable at all, I requested a room change as the room we were allocated clearly had not been cleaned and we were told there was no other rooms available I am severely disappointed as this was a last minute weekend away and we couldnt wait to grt home we ended up having to drive home for 3 hours at 4 am, ripped bed linen and the shower was freezing cold.

Pros:

This iconic and period hotel still boasts a lot of its interior and exterior charm, all the staff are excellent and always willing to help!
Whether it's the management, reception, bar, dining, entertainment or the cleaning team!

Rooms have all you need, most beds I've had offer a comfortable night's sleep!

Keep up the good work!

It does seem to be getting back to its old quality after a number of years of neglect!

Cons:

I feel it could do with a little more love on the exterior and updating within the bedrooms!

So so
Pros:

The location

Cons:

The room only had one plug with tv plugged into it. It’s not enough when two people want to charge their phones iPads etc and watch tv. The room was dark because where it was. It was also very dated and the cleaning staff wouldn’t clean or even ask to clean it for the duration of the stay. Cafe downstairs was closed for the most of the day.
