Came here for the breakfast and onsen
Cons:

There are not enough massage chairs - they are fully occupied at all times. The hot drink machine at the reception area was not serving proper matcha latte - it was so watered down, I thought it was water (in Kyoto, in particular, this is not acceptable)

Japanese-style ryokan, but could get very busy at the hot tubs
Pros:

Great location, close to Kyoto station. Unique experience, good food, clean room and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

Very busy, lots of guests but not enough hot tubs/ showers for all of them. I saw so many people lining up just to use the showers to get into the hot tubs. For a big hotel with 9 floors that accommodate close to 1000 guests, I think the hot bath area was way too small. It could also get very noisy due to the crowd.

Great stay!
Pros:

Breakfast was amazing. Free Onsen was great and the free Ramen and ice creams were a very nice touch.

Cons:

Pillows were not so good. If there was one thing I would suggest this would be to replace the pillows in the room with a better one.

Completely relaxing and totally worth it.
Pros:

Me and my sister decided to stay at this hotel because of the onsen (baths) and it was such an amazing and relazing experience.

Cons:

For some reason wifi didn't work very well in our room but they offered to change us to a different room. Staff was very kind about it.

Our 9 nights stay was pleasant with professional staff
Pros:

Perfect location in Kyoto and enjoyed delicious daily breakfast!

Cons:

Need to have signs or advise customers to be silent when in the women Onsen. They were extremely loud talking with one and another even at 5:30am in the mornings!!!

We definitely will be returning here if we are in Kyoto again!
Pros:

We had an excellent stay at Onyado! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and could be easily found around the lobby and building if needed. The rooms are on the smaller side (if you are more accustomed to western hotel standards), but well appointed and are very modern. The amenities were amazing: the onsen bath was well maintained and had a variety of bath type options and operating hours; the breakfast was PHENOMENAL with a ton of options for both Japanese and western-style options; and the free coffee and matcha (all day) and ice cream (evenings) were excellent bonuses!

Cons:

Only places we felt could be improved was the beds/pillows were a bit hard/firm -- but that is somewhat a personal preference issue.

If you appreciate true Japanese traditions, this is the place.
Pros:

We return many times each year due to the outstanding staff more than any other reason, however the location is also perfect due to its nearness to Kyoto Eki and Sanjusangendo, the sweet MiniStop across the street and pharmacy, and many other eateries. We love the onsen, the futon, even taking off our shoes at the entrance.

Cons:

Rooms are small, as are the showers, we miss the tea time treats, and the entrance can get quite crowded.

Alojamiento relajante en Kioto
Pros:

La variedad de platos en el buffet del desayuno y el ramen que se ofrece todas las noches.
La ubicación también es ideal, muy cerca de estación y de la Torre de Kioto.

Overall amazing Japanese style hotel. Very cool experience from the rooms, no shoes,and hot springs
Pros:

Breakfast was amazing and location was very nice as close to train station. Bus and Ubers also very accessible.

Cons:

The only thing I would say is the pillows were not as comfortable. Perhaps having two pillows or one large pillow would help.
